The Rock Bottom Remainders, consisting of authors who’ve written a combined total of more than 150 titles (selling more than 150 million books), will be at The El Rey Theatre as part of The Past Our Bedtime Tour, with tickets on sale at livetalkslarbr.eventbrite.com.
Confirmed to perform are Stephen King (back after a five year absence), Amy Tan, Dave Barry, Mitch Albom, Scott Turow, Matt Groening, James McBride, Greg Iles, Ridley Pearson, Roy Blount, Jr, and Sam Barry. The Birds’ Roger McGuinn is joining them as a special musical guest.
This 20th anniversary tour is apparently going to be the group’s last public concerts. And as with their previous concerts, proceeds from The Past Our Bedtime Tour will go to support charities. This year, funds raised from ticket sales will go to help out the Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Center, The Midnight Mission and the launch of an Emerging Author Series at Live Talks Los Angeles.
