New Kids on the Block Start Shooting a New Reality Series

Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block Show

Filming just began on a new reality series titled Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block airing on TVGN. The eight-episode series follows the boy band (well, now men band) and the thousands of fans who are so dedicated to the group that they’ve actually made the annual five-day cruise with the band sell out five years in a row.

Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block will take the audience at home (not the 3,000 vacationers aboard the cruise) behind the scenes with the guys in the band.

Here’s the details, courtesy of TVGN:

Multiple groups of fans will be featured during the series, including: a pair of Seattle-based sisters with a room back home devoted to their NKOTB memorabilia and who vow to do anything to get close to the band while on the cruise; an over the top Ohio mother leaving her husband and kids behind for some wild fun in the sun; an excited bride-to-be boarding the cruise with both her fiancé and bridesmaids in tow with the hopes of having her dream wedding officiated by Donnie Wahlberg; and a group of kilt-wearing Scotsmen who are looking forward to setting sail with a boat full of women.

Lives are set aside and intense planning commences as these fans get ready to relive their glory days with NKOTB on a cruise from NYC to Bermuda. The featured fans will be filmed at all hours, rocking out to NKOTB live performances and participating in the cruise’s many theme nights: The Masquerade Ball, Cowboy Up! Party, Night at the Movies and The GPS United Nations Party. The fans participating in the filming of the show will be followed by more than 50 members of the production crew, who will be capturing all of the antics and everlasting memories on-board.
