Victoria Justice, Reeve Carney, and Ryan McCartan Star in New ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’

The cast is coming together for Fox’s upcoming new take on The Rocky Horror Picture Show with Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Reeve Carney, and Staz Nair all confirmed for starring roles. The two-hour event will air this Fall on Fox, with filming expected to begin soon. Justice, best known for starring in Victorious, will play Janet Weiss while McCartan is set to take on the role of Brad Majors. Penny Dreadful‘s Reeve Carney will play Riff Raff and Staz Nair will play the titular Rocky.

Orange is the New Black‘s Laverne Cox was previously announced to star as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Lou Adler, Gail Berman, and Kenny Ortega are executive producing Fox’s reimagining of the cult classic. Ortega is also attached to direct and choreograph this 2016 version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Carney’s credits include Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark on Broadway and he’s just released Mr. Green Vol. 1 with his band, Carney. Justice’s acting credits include Eye Candy, The First Time, and Fun Size. McCartan can be seen on Liv & Maddie and recently started a band with his co-star Dove Cameron.

The Plot: The Rocky Horror Picture Show follows sweethearts Janet (Justice) and Brad (McCartan), who stumble upon Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s (Cox) bizarre abode. Frank-N-Furter, a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad-scientist, is holding an annual, Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of “Rocky Horror” – a fit, attractive man created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires.
