Scott Derrickson will be following up Deliver Us From Evil with a big budget Marvel production. Derrickson has been tapped to helm Doctor Strange for Marvel Studios, and audiences may see the film in theaters in either the summer of 2016 or 2017 (Marvel hasn’t officially set the release date yet).
Derrickson, whose credits include The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Sinister, broke the news on Twitter: “My next movie will be STRANGE”
Deliver Us From Evil will be heading to theaters on July 2, 2014 and stars Eric Bana, Olivia Munn, and Edgar Ramirez.
