Scotty McCreery, the Country singer who won American Idol in 2011, was held at gunpoint during a home-invasion robbery in Raleigh, North Carolina. The singer and four of his friends were at a condo near North Carolina State University (McCreery is enrolled as a student) when three men with guns broke in and robbed those present of their phones and money, among other items.

No one was injured in the robbery.

McCreery’s career was launched with his American Idol win, and he’s released three albums since winning the singing competition. He’s also earned the Academy of Country Music Awards’ Best New Artist award along with the American Country Awards’ Breakthrough Artist and New Artist awards.
