‘Sharknado 5’ Title, Tagline and Cameos Announced

Syfy’s officially announced the title of the 2017 Sharknado installment. The fifth film in the campy flying shark franchise will be Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and its tagline is “Make America Bait Again.” The network also confirmed the celebrities who will be putting in cameo appearances in the upcoming film.

Sharknado 5: Global Swarming is set to premiere on August 6, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT. Ian Ziering is reprising his role as Fin Shepard and Tara Reid is back as Fin’s wife, April. Returning cast members also include Cassie Scerbo, Masiela Lusha and Cody Linley.


The Plot: In Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, the mission gets personal for Fin Shepard (Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Reid) when their young son gets trapped in a traveling ‘nado and transported all over the world. From London to Rio, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam and beyond, our globetrotting heroes will seek assistance from a highly-skilled squad of royals, scholars and Olympians, enlisting famous faces from news, entertainment, and sports in their most epic battle yet.
