‘Star Trek’ Jean-Luc Picard Series Adds Harry Treadaway, Alison Pill and Isa Briones

The cast of the as yet untitled Star Trek Jean-Luc Picard series has expanded by three. CBS All Access announced Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Harry Treadaway (Penny Dreadful, Mr. Mercedes) and Isa Briones (American Crime Story: Versace) have signed on as series regulars.

The new entry in the Star Trek franchise will star Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Jean-Luc Picard, the character he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: Next Generation. The upcoming series will follow Picard in the next chapter of his life. The cast also includes Santiago Cabrera (Big Little Lies), Michelle Hurd (Lethal Weapon), and Evan Evagora, all of whom were previously announced as joining the series.

Alex Kurtzman, James Duff, Akiva Goldsman, Patrick Stewart, Michael Chabon, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are on board as executive producers. CBS Television Studios is producing the series in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.

In addition to his starring roles in Penny Dreadful and Mr. Mercedes, Harry Treadaway’s credits include Gringo with Charlize Theron, The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp, and Honeymoon opposite Rose Leslie. Treadaway recently completed work on the fourth season of The Crown.

Isa Briones was part of the First National Touring Company of Hamilton and won an L.A. Ovation Award for Next to Normal.

Alison Pill’s credits include the Oscar-nominated film Vice starring Christian Bale as Vice President Dick Cheney, Miss Sloane with Jessica Chastain, Snowpiercer starring Chris Evans, and Scott Pilgrim vs the World with Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Pill was recently featured in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Cult which revolved around the 2016 presidential election. She just wrapped up work on the first season of FX’s DEVS.
