Trekkies can check out the new Star Trek film, Star Trek Beyond, before it officially opens on July 22, 2016. The third film in the revamped Star Trek saga will screen as part of a special Star Trek marathon on July 20, 2016. The Star Trek marathon is a one-night fan event set to take place in select cities across North America.
Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond will screen together in IMAX and premium large screen theaters. Fans who purchase a ticket to the marathon will also receive a collector’s poster and a Star Fleet T-shirt iron-on patch. (Supplies are limited.) The cast of Star Trek Beyond includes John Cho, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba. Justin Lin directed and produces along with J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci, and Lindsey Weber.
The Plot: In Star Trek Beyond, the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.
