Filming Officially Begins on ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Star Wars Episode VII starts shooting clapper

It’s official – the new Star Wars movie has begun shooting. Bad Robot and Star Wars‘ official twitter accounts, as well as the official Star Wars tumblr, all announced the start of filming on Star Wars: Episode VII. J.J. Abrams is directing and recently the main cast was confirmed. Starring in the new Star Wars film are John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Star Wars: Episode VII will open in theaters on December 18, 2015.
