jOBS Film Coming in April

Open Road Films has landed on a release date for the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher. Open Road, along with Five Star Feature Films, will be sending jOBS out into theaters on April 19, 2013.
 
Kutcher (currently seen in Two and a Half Men) tackles the title role of the Apple co-founder in this drama which traces his rise from a college dropout to the man the world knows as the mastermind behind Apple products.
 
The release date falls during the 37th anniversary month of Jobs’ founding of Apple.
 
jOBS was directed by Joshua Michael Stern from a script by Matthew Whitely. The cast also includes Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine.
 
The Plot:
 
jOBS details the major moments and defining characters that influenced Steve Jobs on a daily basis from 1971 through 2001. jOBS plunges into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is as much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs’ life.
 
The filmmakers strove for absolute authenticity in making the film, including shooting in the historic garage in Palo Alto, that served as the birthplace to Apple Inc.
