USA Heads Off to ‘Summer Camp’

USA Network’s adding Summer Camp to their lineup, giving the reality series an eight-episode order. The action series from producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan (Big Brother) will debut this summer.

Announcing the new reality series, Heather Olander, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming for USA Network, stated: “This series marries a fun, energizing and nostalgic concept with quirky characters, who will captivate our viewers, as they attempt to reclaim – or perhaps reinvent – their youth. Our audience will be transported back to some of their best summer moments. We are excited to chronicle this adventure with Fly on the Wall Entertainment, one of the leading storytellers in this genre.”

The Plot: In Summer Camp, viewers will meet an eclectic group of 16 adults from all walks of life – from the fanatic hunter to the former nerd-turned-supermodel to the vegan yoga instructor. Campers will pack their bags and head to an idyllic lakeside retreat, where they will indulge in over-to-top competitions inspired by classic camp games. At the end of the summer, the remaining competitors face off in the “Campathalon,” an ultimate Olympic-style event.
