Survivor’s Remorse continues to earn series high ratings which should have made the decision to give the comedy series an early third season renewal order an easy one for Starz. The network reports Survivor’s Remorse is up in viewers from its record-setting 1.13 million season two premiere high, with 1.34 million people tuning in for season two’s second episode (an 18% increase week-over-week).

“We are thrilled to renew Survivor’s Remorse for a third season, ” said Carmi Zlotnik, Managing Director of Starz, announcing the renewal order. “Since it began, the critics instantly embraced the show, and now we’ve seen its fans grow season over season. This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O’Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with ‘pro-money and pro-problems’ off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to STARZ for another season.”

In addition to showrunner O’Malley, the executive producers include Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, LeBron James, Paul Wachter and Vic Levin.
