Taraji P. Henson’s ‘White Hot Holidays’ Special Returns for the Second Year

The winter holiday special Taraji’s White Hot Holidays will air on December 8, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on Fox. The second annual one-hour variety special will be hosted by Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson and will feature performances by Jussie Smollett, Taye Diggs, Pharrell Williams, Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, Snoop Dogg, and TLC. Tyler Perry and Terry Crews will also participate in the holiday special produced by Henson, Jane Mun, Greg Sills, Vincent Cirrincione, and Casey Patterson Entertainment.

Henson’s credits include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button opposite Brad Pitt, Taken From Me, Person of Interest, Term Life, No Good Deed, Think Like a Man, and From the Rough. She recently finished work on Hidden Figures with Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae. Hidden Figures, written and directed by Theodore Melfi, is based on the true story of three female mathematicians instrumental in NASA’s ability to launch John Glenn into orbit and bring him home safely.

Henson has earned a Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for playing Cookie Lyon on Fox’s Empire. She’s also been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category, and won a 2013 NAACP Image Award for her work in Person of Interest. In addition to her acting credits, Henson’s a best-selling author and producer.
