X Factor Winner Lands a New Year’s Eve Gig

Fox just announced the addition of another performer to their New Year’s Eve Live! lineup. The network says this season’s The X Factor winner Tate Stevens will be appearing on the show which airs on Fox on December 31, 2012 at 11pm. Stevens will join Lifehouse and Carmen Electra to help ring in 2013.

Country singer Stevens was mentored by L.A. Reid and after a hard-fought battle emerged the winner of a $5 million recording contract with Sony Music. The 37 year old was a road worker before auditioning for the singing competition.

New Year’s Eve Live! will be broadcast from Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino with additional cameras set up to capture the ball drop in New York’s Time Square.
