‘The Kominsky Method’ – Jane Seymour, Jacqueline Bisset and Paul Reiser Join Season 2

Netflix’s critically acclaimed comedy, The Kominsky Method, has announced three new additions to the season two cast. Jane Seymour, Jacqueline Bisset, and Paul Reiser are joining the series in season two as recurring guest stars.

Netflix released the following descriptions of Seymour, Bisset and Reiser’s characters:

  • Jane Seymour plays Madelyn, a seventy-something, well-to-do woman who Norman (Alan Arkin) had a mad love affair with in the Sixties before he met his wife. Fifty years later, they meet and start again.
  • Jacqueline Bisset is Gabrielle, Mindy’s (Sarah Baker) mom and Sandy’s (Michael Douglas) French ex-wife who delights in still being able to push the buttons of her ex-husband.
  • Paul Reiser plays Martin, a sixty-something high school teacher who gets romantically involved with Sandy’s (Douglas) daughter, Mindy (Baker).

The half-hour single camera comedy was created by Emmy Award nominee Chuck Lorre. Lorre’s other creations include The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Mike and Molly, Two and a Half Men, Dharma & Greg, and Grace Under Fire. Lorre serves as an executive producer on The Kominsky Method along with Al Higgins and Michael Douglas. The comedy’s produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. and Warner Bros. Television.

The first season was released on Friday, November 16, 2019 and won two Golden Globe Awards (Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Michael Douglas). It was also nominated for three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Critics’ Choice Awards. Other honors include a spot on the AFI Awards 2018’s AFI TV Programs of the Year list.

The Kominsky Method Plot:

The sun isn’t setting yet on the once famous Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander. Academy Award winners Michael Douglas (Kominsky) and Alan Arkin (Newlander) continue their journey as two friends tackling life’s inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty.
