TNT has given the fantasy/adventure series The Librarians an order for a fourth season. Season three, which finished up on January 22, 2017, averaged 5.4 million viewers and brought in a younger audience than TNT’s other original shows. The popular series stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Harlan Kim, and John Larroquette. Noah Wyle has a recurring guest starring role and serves as an executive producer.

The series is based on TNT’s movie franchise and is executive produced by Dean Devlin and Marc Roskin. Season four will begin in late 2017.

The Season 3 Plot: The Librarians centers on an ancient organization dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. In the third season of The Librarians, our heroes will face their greatest challenge yet as they go up against the ancient Egyptian God of Chaos to stop him from releasing pure evil into the world. The stakes are especially high, and one Librarian may have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world.

The team also confronts a new antagonist, D.O.S.A. – The Department of Statistical Anomalies – whose mission is to apprehend the Librarians and take control of the Library and all the magical artifacts hidden inside. Discovering that there are brand new artifacts in the world, the Librarians find themselves torn between the power of magic and the harm those who use it can cause.
