The competition was fierce, with the three finalists – Terry McDermott, Nicholas David, and Cassadee Pope – representing only two of The Voice coaches (Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green). Spoiler Alert! Here it comes…the name of NBC’s The Voice‘s season three winner is…

…Cassadee Pope.

Pope won the grand prize, which includes a recording contract with Universal Republic Records. Her win also provided Blake Shelton with his second victory as a Voice coach, a fact I’m sure will be brought up often on season four. And speaking of season four, the premiere date has been set for March 25, 2013.

Pope, from Los Angeles, is starting out fresh as a solo artist after touring with her pop/rock band, Hey Monday.
