USA Network Says Yes to ‘Mr. Robot’

The dramatic series Mr. Robot has been given a pilot pick-up by USA Network. Mr. Robot comes from the creative minds of writer/executive producer Sam Esmail and executive producers Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton. There’s no official word yet on casting or who will be directing the drama.

Announcing the pilot pick-up, President of USA Network Chris McCumber stated, “Mr. Robot is a visionary drama. It is a very timely and relatable story that captures both the excitement and danger of today’s digital world.”

The Plot:

Mr. Robot is a contemporary, culturally resonant drama about a young programmer, Elliot, who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them. He wields his skills as a weapon to protect the people that he cares about. Elliot will find himself in the intersection between a cybersecurity firm he works for and the underworld organizations that are recruiting him to bring down corporate America.
