The Botwins are returning for another season of pot-dealing with season 8 of Weeds. Showtime’s confirmed they will be bringing back their highest-rated comedy series starring Mary-Louise Parker, Hunter Parrish, Alexander Gould, and Justin Kirk for what we can only hope is a better season than season 7.
The network hasn’t confirmed if all the regulars will be back because, as you may remember, there’s a possibility someone bit the dust in the season 7 finale (a season which, speaking as fan, was the worst season of the show). The last episode cut to black when a gunman interrupted the family’s peaceful dinner and a gunshot was heard. Who took the bullet? We won’t know until season 8 debuts.
Showtime says production will take place in 2012 on 13 new episodes.
