
The 2013 version of Carrie arrives in theaters on October 18, 2013 with Chloe Grace Moretz taking on the role Sissy Spacek played in the original adaptation of Stephen King’s book. And just three days before the film’s release, Columbia Records will be offering up the soundtrack CD Music From the Motion Picture Carrie with tracks by The Civil Wars, Haim, and Passion Pit.
Arriving on October 15th, the soundtrack also includes Matrimony’s never-before-heard cover of Bob Dylan’s “Tombstone Blues.”
The Plot: Carrie is a reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis picked up six nominations and led the pack of nominations for the 2013 American Music Awards taking place live from Nokia Theatre in LA on November 24, 2013. Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake each earned five nominations followed by Florida Georgia Line, Rihanna and Robin Thicke with four a piece.




Complications, Rush, and The Novice have all been given cast-contingent pilots by USA Network, so says network president Chris McCumber. “These pilots illustrate our continued commitment to creating the next evolution of powerful original dramas for which USA is well known,” stated McCumber. “This particular mix of dramas comes from some of the top writers and producers in the industry, each of whom bring a distinct point of view and unique talent for developing high stakes storylines and compelling characters.”
