Bravo Media is setting sail with the new series Below Deck cruising onto TV screens on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10pm. The docu-series follows crew members of the 164′ yacht Honor at work and play.
The Plot:
The upstairs and downstairs worlds collide when this young single crew, known as “yachties,” live, love and work together onboard the luxurious, privately owned yacht, while tending to the ever-changing needs of their wealthy, demanding clients. While each crew member brings a different level of experience, they all share a love for this lifestyle that enables them to travel to some of the most beautiful and exotic locales in the world. Each episode features different charter guests — from millionaires, to entertainers to hard-partying well-heeled friends — as they move onto the boat for an at sea adventure.
The Below Deck Crew:
Aleks Taldykin, First Officer – Aleks Taldykin has always had a passion for the Seas. The 27 year-old Los Angeles native began working on fishing boats when he was 12 and got his first Captain’s license at 19. At 20, he started his own company, Elite Yacht Management. His client list includes various celebrities and even heads of state. As a “Captain to the Stars,” Aleks prides himself on providing the best service possible and that combined with his personable manner and sense of humor makes him a favorite of his clientele.
Adrienne Gang, Chief Steward – A veteran of the yacht industry, chief stewardess Adrienne Gang lives by the philosophy “work hard, play hard.” The 29-year-old is the picture of professionalism during work hours, but off the clock she loves to relax and enjoy the beautiful destinations she visits. In conjunction with her career as a yachtie, she is also a professional Chef who cooks for celebrity entertainers while they are on tour. She has a knack for knowing what clients want before they ask for it. Yacht life suits her because she loves to travel and becomes restless when in the same place for too long.
CJ LeBeau, Second Engineer – C.J., 32, discovered his passion for sailing while spending several months vacationing with friends after college to exotic locales like the Caribbean, Columbia and the San Blas Islands. This coastal Californian native, who serves as marine engineer aboard “Honor,” likes to explore the nightlife while in port and tries hard not to get into too much trouble.
Samantha Orme, Steward – A 25-year-old Palm Harbor, Florida native, Samantha has yachting in her blood. She got her start as a stew working charters for her parents, who owned a yacht that her father built, by hand, over the course of 20 years. A graduate of Florida State University, Samantha believes her industrial engineering degree sets her apart from the typical uneducated “yachty” drifter. During her senior year at FSU, she worked with NASA redesigning the avionics mounting structure for the Ares I Rocket. She loves the feeling of being on the open sea and building close relationships while living in close quarters. As a steward, “stew,” Samantha is responsible for helping the chief stew in all aspects of the ship, from cleaning to laundry to making sure the guests are happy and everything in between.
David Bradberry, Deckhand – David Alanson Bradberry immediately joined the Marines after graduating high school, where he received the majority of his experience on the water. David served as a Marine Embassy Guard for three years, which afforded him the opportunity to see the world, being stationed in places like Japan, Liberia and Italy. David’s love of travel, work ethic and sense of adventure make him a perfect candidate for working at sea and knows his Marine training will prove beneficial while at sea.
Ben Robinson, Chef – Ben Robinson, 31, is accomplished both on land and sea. He worked under Italian master chefs in Florence and gained an apprenticeship at 3-Michelin Star restaurant “The Fat Duck,” based in the United Kingdom. Ben has been the head chef on yachts for over 7 years, including the largest sailing yacht in the world. Ben was born in Oxford, England and continued to attend boarding school there when his parents moved to the US. He now lives in Ft. Lauderdale when he is on dry land. Ben enjoys his bachelor status and enjoys himself when in port. Ben dreams of one day owning his own Michelin-Star restaurant.
Eddie Lucas, Deckhand – Eddie Lucas, 26, was raised on the east coast attending boarding schools and exploring recreational diversions on the Chesapeake and Buzzards Bays. Early on he learned to ski, fish and took advantage of any offered outdoor educational opportunities including earning a degree in Adventure Education from Green Mountain College, becoming proficient in rafting, rock climbing and scuba diving. After surviving a car accident five years ago, Eddie learned to live life to the fullest and to appreciate everything he has.
Kat Held, Second Steward – This 27-year-old ‘jokester’ began a career in yachting after a summer of recreation sailing in her home town of Rhode Island. Working several years as an assistant in a psychiatrist office, she grew an interest in discovering more of what the outside world had to offer. One day, after watching the yachts come in and out of Newport, she purchased a book on how to become a stew. This led her to finding her first job as a yacht stewardess in Miami, Florida.
I like the Trophy Wife cast – Malin Akerman is highly underrated – and the premise is funny, however I worry the whole ‘trophy wife’ idea will wear thin after one season. Let’s hope it’s not a one-note show that relies entirely on jokes based on Akerman’s character being the younger, gorgeous new wife.
The Plot:
They say the third time’s the charm, and reformed party girl Kate (Malin Akerman) is hoping that’s true when she becomes Pete’s (Bradley Whitford) third wife. She fell into his arms (literally) at a karaoke bar, and a year later Kate’s got an insta-family, complete with three stepchildren and two ex-wives. Diane (Marcia Gay Harden) is ex-wife number one, an intense, over-achieving doctor and the mother of twin teenagers Hillary (Gianna LePera) and Warren (Ryan Scott Lee).
Diane is quick to convey her withering disapproval of Kate’s barely tapped maternal instinct. Ex-wife number two, Jackie (Michaela Watkins), is mother to adopted son Bert (Albert Tsai), and can pull Pete’s strings with her special blend of neurotic, new-ageyness. Juggling all this baggage is uncharted territory for Kate, who finds support with her best friend Meg (Natalie Morales), a party-hearty singleton and the only woman Kate knows who has less experience with kids than she has.

Magnet Releasing is ready to send Big Bad Wolves into North American theaters later this year. The genre portion of Magnolia Pictures picked up the Israeli thriller after its world premiere at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival.
Written and directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, Big Bad Wolves stars Lior Ashkenazi, Rotem Keinan, Tzahi Grad and Dov Glickman.
“The pitch black humor in Big Bad Wolves could only succeed with truly deft, intelligent filmmaking,” said Magnolia President Eamonn Bowles. “With this wonderfully nasty and thrilling film, Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado have proven themselves to be major talents with big careers ahead of them.”
The Plot:
In Big Bad Wolves, a series of brutal murders puts the lives of three men on a collision course: The father of the latest victim now out for revenge, a vigilante police detective operating outside the boundaries of law, and the main suspect in the killings – a religious studies teacher arrested and released due to a police blunder.
The romantic drama 9 Full Moons will have its world festival premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival. The film, directed by Tomer Almagor and starring Amy Seimetz, Bret Roberts, Donal Logue, Dale Dickey, and Harry Dean Stanton, will screen on June 6, 2013.
“9 Full Moons is a personal love letter to my partner and to the city of angels we both love and hate,” stated director Tomer Almagor. “The main characters are always on the move, constantly changing and progressing. Their narrative is a compelling chronicle of the extreme highs and lows of their relationship, but at the heart of it, 9 Full Moons is a hopeful love story.”
Adds actor Logue: “About a minute into my initial conversation with Tomer Almagor I knew I wanted to be a part of the cast of 9 Full Moons. Working on 9 Full Moons reminded me why I got in this profession in the first place.”
The Plot:
9 Full Moons is a powerful, brooding love story about the seemingly implausible relationship between Frankie (Seimetz) and Lev (Roberts), two radically different people who seem to be meant for each other. Set against the country-tinged, singer-songwriter hipster music scene of East Los Angeles, Silverlake, and Hollywood, the film focuses on the young couple’s struggle with their personal demons as they try to hold on to one another against insurmountable odds.
Frankie is a wildly enigmatic train wreck, a hard-partying social butterfly with an authentic grasp on life. Lev is a solitary, stoic young man with deep aspirations to becoming one of those legendary musical vagabonds he so devoutly looks up to. A near-miss shot of intimacy at an after-hours LA night club leads Frankie and Lev to embark on a frenzied and handicapped affair, their free-spiritedness and non-conformist attitude towards social norms send them off on a rollercoaster ride. In order to jump off that crazy train, and take a serious stab at having a future together, they force themselves to scrutinize and come face-to-face with their painful histories and make peace.

The home he claims as his own is occupied by an elderly couple, Harold (Kurtwood Smith) and Lucille Garland (Frances Fisher), who lost their son Jacob more than 30 years ago. BACK IN THE GAME
Terry Gannon Jr. (Maggie Lawson) was an All Star softball player until life threw her a few curve balls — a baby, a lost college scholarship and a loser for a husband. After striking out on her own, Terry and her son, Danny (Griffin Gluck), move in with her estranged father, Terry Sr., aka “The Cannon” (James Caan). The Cannon is an opinionated, beer-guzzling, ex-athlete who never quite made the cut either as a single father or professional baseball player. As hard as Terry tries to keep Danny away from the sports-driven lifestyle of her youth, Tommy wants to play Little League. His stunning lack of baseball skills (he doesn’t even know which hand the mitt goes on) makes him the laughing stock of the baseball field and of his grandfather’s living room.
When Danny and a group of other athletically-challenged hopefuls fail to make the team, Danny’s disappointment forces Terry to face her past. So when a wealthy neighbor volunteers to finance a team for the rejected kids, Terry reluctantly offers to coach the team of misfits.

THE GOLDBERGS
Before there were parenting blogs, trophies for showing up and peanut allergies, there was a simpler time called the ’80s. For geeky 11-year-old Adam (Sean Giambrone) these were his wonder years, and he faced them armed with a video camera to capture all the crazy. The Goldbergs are a loving family like any other, just with a lot more yelling. Mom Beverly (Wendi McClendon-Covey) is a classic “smother,” an overbearing, overprotective matriarch who rules this brood with 100% authority and zero sense of boundaries. Dad Murray (Jeff Garlin) is gruff, hot-tempered and trying to parent without screaming. Sister Erica (Hayley Orrantia) is 17, hot, terrifying and not one to mess with. Barry (Troy Gentile) is 16, a grade-A spaz with classic middle child syndrome.
Adam (Sam Giambrone) is the youngest, a camera-wielding future director who’s crushing on an older woman. Rounding out the family is beloved grandfather Al “Pops” Solomon (George Segal), the wild man of the clan, a shameless Don Juan who’s schooling Adam in the ways of love. When Pops buys a new sports car and offers his Caddy to middle child Barry, it’s enough to drive this already high-strung family to the brink of chaos.

ONCE UPON A TIME (Season 3)
Master storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz invite everyone to Storybrooke, Maine, a small town that probably won’t show up on one’s GPS. To ensure that no one in fairytale land – especially Snow White – had anymore “happily ever afters,” Evil Queen Regina cast a curse which trapped the fairytale characters, frozen in time, and brought them into our modern world. Although still alive, they had no knowledge of their former selves and were sleepwalking through life – ageless — for 28 years, until their savior arrived in the form of Emma Swan.
Unbeknownst to Emma, she was the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming who whisked her out of fairytale land and into our world as an infant to save her from the curse. Abandoned as a baby, Emma’s life was anything but magical. When her 10-year-old son, Henry, whom she gave up for adoption years ago, appeared on her doorstep with a book of fairytales and told her a crazy story about how she’s the prodigy of fairytale characters who are all trapped in a town called Storybrooke, she thought he was nuts. But curiosity got the better of Emma, and she brought Henry back to the town and soon found out that Storybrooke was more than it seemed. Regina, ever the control freak, had placed herself as Mayor of the town and was Henry’s adoptive mother.
Over time Emma began to see through the cracks of the curse, believed that the stories were true and was finally able to break it. Reality and myth merged as the fairytale characters began awakening once the curse was lifted and remembered who they were. But to their dismay, they weren’t transported back to fairytale land. To make matters worse, Rumplestiltskin – aka Mr. Gold – decided to gain the upper hand in his power struggle with Regina and introduced magic into the town. But this is our world, and magic has a tendency to have unfathomable implications.

After her father was framed for a horrific crime by neighbors he trusted and was sentenced to a life in prison, Emily never saw her father again and spent her childhood consumed by rage, loss and betrayal.
Years later she returned to the Hamptons under an assumed identity with one endgame-REVENGE, every social overture a carefully planned chip at the foundation of her sworn enemies until their lives come crashing down around them. Now she must face the consequences of her actions and the havoc she has wreaked on those around her as she continues her fight to avenge her father’s death.
Revenge stars Madeleine Stowe as Victoria Grayson, Emily VanCamp as Emily Thorne, Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross, Henry Czerny as Conrad Grayson, Nick Wechsler as Jack Porter, Josh Bowman as Daniel Grayson, Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Grayson, and Barry Sloane as Aiden Mathis.

After leaving the White House, the power consultant opened her own firm, hoping to start a new chapter — both professionally and personally — but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past, specifically her secret relationship with the President. But Olivia isn’t the only one with a secret; her staff, who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, can’t quite fix the ones closest at hand — their own.
Scandal stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, Columbus Short as Harrison Wright, Guillermo Diaz as Huck, Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, Tony Goldwyn as President Fitzgerald Grant, Jeff Perry as Cyrus, Bellamy Young as First Lady Mellie Grant, and Joshua Malina as David Rosen.
LAST MAN STANDING (Season 3)

Assorted friends and neighbors also seem to be interested in expressing their strong points of view to Mike on a variety of issues, ranging from politics, holiday celebration etiquette and the environment to how his grandson should be raised.

Having been fired as the least successful sales woman at the town’s only surviving car dealership, Frankie re-evaluated her career path and is now working as a dental assistant. Jay Pritchett, with his younger wife Gloria, her son Manny and their baby, sits as the patriarch of a large blended family that includes his grown daughter Claire, who has three kids of her own with her husband Phil, and a grown son Mitchell, who adopted a daughter from Vietnam with his gay life partner Cameron. These three families are unique unto themselves, and together they give us a window into the sometimes warm, sometimes twisted embrace of the modern family.
Modern Family stars Ed O’Neill as Jay, Sofia Vergara as Gloria, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Ariel Winter as Alex, Nolan Gould as Luke, Rico Rodriguez as Manny, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.
THE NEIGHBORS (Season 2)
Marty Weaver just wanted the best for his wife, Debbie, and their three kids, and moving from an apartment in Bayonne to Hidden Hills, New Jersey, a gated community complete with its own golf course, was a step in the right direction. Of course, the fact that the entire community is comprised of aliens from the planet Zabvron, and that the Weavers are the first humans who have lived amongst them, presents some challenges.
But as the Weavers and the aliens face the struggles of everyday life together, they discover that some things – the ups and downs of marriage, the desire to be a good parent and connect with your children – are universal… intergalactic even. Despite the fact that they’re not even the same species, both humans and Zabvronians had a lot to learn from each other. The Weavers realize they’ve found an ally in the family next door… even if they do cry out of their ears.
The Neighbors stars Jami Gertz as Debbie Weaver, Lenny Venito as Marty Weaver, Simon Templeman as Larry Bird, Toks Olagundoye as Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Clara Mamet as Amber Weaver, Tim Jo as Reggie Jackson, Ian Patrick as Dick Butkus, Max Charles as Max Weaver, and Isabella Cramp as Abby Weaver.
SUBURGATORY (Season 3)
Single father George only wants the best for his 16-year-old daughter, Tessa. So when he finds a box of condoms on her nightstand, he moves them both out of their apartment in New York City to a house in the suburbs. But all Tessa sees is the horror of over-manicured lawns and plastic Franken-moms. Being in the ‘burbs can be hell, but it also may just bring Tessa and George closer than they’ve ever been.
Tessa (Jane Levy) and George (Jeremy Sisto) have been on their own ever since Tessa’s mom pulled a “Kramer vs. Kramer” before Tessa was even potty trained. So far George has done a pretty good job of raising Tessa without a maternal figure in their lives, but suddenly he’s feeling a little out of his league. So it’s goodbye New York City and hello suburbs.
Suburgatory stars Jeremy Sisto as George Altman, Jane Levy as Tessa Altman, Carly Chaikin as Dalia Royce, Rex Lee as Mr. Wolfe, Allie Grant as Lisa Shay, Alan Tudyk as Noah Werner, Cheryl Hines as Dallas Royce, Ana Gasteyer as Sheila Shay and Chris Parnell.

THE BACHELOR
ABC’s The Bachelor is the original primetime romance reality series that offers one lucky man and 25 lucky women the unique opportunity to find true love. This season the hit series will feature its 17th edition with the new Bachelor getting to know 25 women via a series of social gatherings and exotic, romantic dates – some in groups, some individually. He will introduce some of the women to his family and will visit their hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the woman with whom he is most compatible.
At the end of the journey, filled with drama and surprises against the backdrop of spectacular international settings, the Bachelor may quite possibly have found true love. But the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?
DANCING WITH THE STARS
Hosted by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
SHARK TANK
The critically-acclaimed business-themed show, Shark Tank, is back for a fifth season, with the Sharks continuing the search to invest in the best businesses and products that America has to offer. The show received a nomination for a Producers Guild Award in 2013. In 2012 “Shark Tank” received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality Program and a nomination for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Reality Series. The Sharks — tough, self-made, multi-millionaire and billionaire tycoons — will once again give budding entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true and potentially secure business deals that could make them millionaires.
They are: billionaire Mark Cuban, owner and chairman of AXS TV and outspoken owner of the 2011 NBA championship Dallas Mavericks; real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran; “Queen of QVC” Lori Greiner; technology innovator Robert Herjavec; fashion and branding expert Daymond John; and venture capitalist Kevin O’Leary.
THE TASTE
One blind spoonful could change everything on ABC’s alternative series, The Taste, an exhilarating one-hour cooking competition that puts 16 culinary competitors – from pro chefs to home cooks — to the fire with four of the world’s most notable masters of the food world who will judge their creations based on a blind taste test. This pressure-filled contest features no-holds barred chef Anthony Bourdain, British food star Nigella Lawson, expert chef/author Ludo Lefebvre and chef/restaurateur Brian Malarkey.
These four culinary superstars and mentors will each coach a team of four competing pro and amateur cooks chosen from a nationwide casting call, as they vie to create the best tasting dish in a state of the art kitchen. In each episode the groups will face team and individual challenges with a variety of culinary themes through various elimination rounds. At the end of each episode, the mentors will have to judge the competitors’ dishes blind — with no knowledge of whose creation they’re sampling, what they’re eating, how it was prepared or whom they could be sending home.

Poster for 'Despicable Me 2' - Photo by Illumination Entertainment/Universal Pictures
Millions (or at least thousands) of minions provide the backdrop in this new poster from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures’ Despicable Me 2. Coming to theaters on July 3, 2013, the sequel to the blockbuster family-friendly animated comedy features the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Ken Jeong, Steve Coogan, Moises Arias, Dana Gaier, and Elsie Fisher.
Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin direct from a script by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio.
The Very Basic, Not-So-Descriptive Plot:
In Summer of 2013, get ready for more minion madness in Despicable Me 2. Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team create an all-new comedy animated adventure featuring the return of Gru (Steve Carell), the girls, the unpredictably hilarious minions…and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.
“It’s not just spy versus spy anymore. The whole world is in on the action.”
Obviously, we don’t know everything there is to know about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but one thing we absolutely know for certain is that ABC isn’t about to let us forget the series exists. In just a matter of days, the series has put out multiple teaser videos and photos, and by this rate we could have effectively watched the first episode by the time it actually airs.
Still, Marvel fans aren’t likely going to complain about the many videos being released…as long as they’re decent.
The Plot: Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange and the unknown around the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.
Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Richard Curtis, the creative force behind Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral, is back with another romantic comedy – this time about time travel. About Time stars the ever-adorable Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson, and Bill Nighy, and it seems to be right in line quality-wise with Curtis’ best work.
About Time opens in limited release on November 1, 2013 and in wide release on November 8th.
The Plot: At the age of 21, Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) discovers he can travel in time…
The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim’s father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life — so he decides to make his world a better place…by getting a girlfriend. Sadly, that turns out not to be as easy as you might think.
Moving from the Cornwall coast to London to train as a lawyer, Tim finally meets the beautiful but insecure Mary (Rachel McAdams). They fall in love, then an unfortunate time-travel incident means he’s never met her at all. So they meet for the first time again — and again — but finally, after a lot of cunning time-traveling, he wins her heart.
Tim then uses his power to create the perfect romantic proposal, to save his wedding from the worst best-man speeches, to save his best friend from professional disaster and to get his pregnant wife to the hospital in time for the birth of their daughter, despite a nasty traffic jam outside Abbey Road.
But as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds out that his unique gift can’t save him from the sorrows and ups and downs that affect all families, everywhere. There are great limits to what time travel can achieve, and it can be dangerous too. About Time is a comedy about love and time travel, which discovers that, in the end, making the most of life may not need time travel at all.
Round four of Jimmy Kimmel’s “Celebrities Read Mean Tweets” includes appearances by Brad Paisley, Kate Mara, Jessica Alba, Russell Brand, No Doubt, and Ray Romano. It also includes tweets that seem to have been made up by the writers at Jimmy Kimmel Live.
So, enjoy the new video segment but keep in mind a lot of these tweets don’t actually appear to have been created by real Twitter users tweeting out slams on celebrities.
