New Charlie Hunnam Photo from ‘Pacific Rim’

Charlie Hunnam as Raleigh Becket in Pacific Rim

Yes, please, we would appreciate some more photos of Charlie Hunnam. Thanks Warner Bros for releasing this new picture of Hunnam (best known to millions of Sons of Anarchy fans as ‘Jax Teller’) in the movie Pacific Rim. Directed by Guillermo del Toro, Pacific Rim and its gigantic robots and monsters – and Charlie Hunnam – will be doing battle on theater screens on July 12, 2013.

The Plot:

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju.

On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed-up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Boston Strong Concert

With a lineup that includes Aerosmith, Jason Aldean, Boston, Jimmy Buffett, Dane Cook, Extreme, J Geils Band, Godsmack, Carole King, New Kids On The Block, James Taylor, and Steven Wright, and with the funds raised going to help out those affected by the bombing at this year’s marathon, it’s not at all a surprise tickets to the Boston Strong concert sold out just minutes after they were made available. The fundraising event will take place on May 30, 2013 at TD Garden, with the tickets all snatched up right after the sale began at 10am this morning.

Proceeds from the Boston Strong concert will benefit The One Fund Boston, which will provide direct support to bombing victims.

“Live Nation and TD Garden have hosted thousands of concerts over the years, but none with such a sense of purpose as ‘Boston Strong’,” said Don Law, president of Live Nation New England. “Boston is a city with strong roots, and homegrown artists reached out to us to see what could be done. We are proud to help solidify this huge concert line-up.”

“Like so many other proud Bostonians who have been extremely generous, we are honored to step up and do our part to help the victims and their families,” stated Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block. “Hopefully this event will not only raise money, but spirits as well.”

Spike Logo

After 25 seasons and 900 episodes, Cops will move from Fox to Spike TV in September 2013. The network will be the new home for the true crime series, with Spike TV announcing Cops will remain in its normal Saturday night at 8pm timeslot after its move.

President of Spike TV Kevin Kay made the announcement, stating: “Cops is a remarkable series that has been able to sustain strong ratings well into its third decade, a monumental achievement in television. As we continue to grow and expand our audience, new episodes of Cops, with its loyal audience of Adults 18-49, is the perfect addition to our primetime lineup on Saturday nights.”

“After 25 seasons with FOX, we are delighted to find our new home with the Spike family where we previously aired Undercover Stings,” added John Langley, President Langley Productions. “And we are doubly pleased that our Cops timeslot remains Saturday nights for our fans. It may be bold to say, but we are looking for yet another record-breaking run with Spike!”

Cops was created by Langley back in March 1989 and has, thus far, followed police officers in 140 different cities.

‘The Amazing Race’ Season 22 Wraps Up in Washington DC

Amazing Race Season 22
The four final teams of ‘Amazing Race’ Season 22 (Photos © CBS Broadcasting)

The two-hour season 22 The Amazing Race finale found teams racing around Washington DC and being fooled into believing they’d be posing for a photo with President Obama. After racing around the globe in a quest to win a cool $1 million, the first hour of the show’s season 22 finale saw the elimination of one of the four remaining teams while three teams continued on with the race to the finish mat.

Don’t read on unless you’ve watched the episode – you’ve been warned!

First up to lose out on a chance at scoring the big payday for their globetrotting efforts were pretty Country singers Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Kuhle, who had problems swimming in a mud bog which put them behind the rest of the teams. The singers were never quite able to catch up, despite some hiccups by roller derby moms and the hockey players while attempting to serve a Titanic-inspired five-course meal. That left Mona Egender & Beth Bandimere, Max & Katie Bichler, and Bates & Anthony Battaglia to go head-to-head as the last teams standing.

During the final three teams’ race around the U.S. capitol, the finalists had to search for a briefcase containing a clue, catch a baseball tossed by their partner from a zipline above the Nationals’ stadium, and then partake in the final challenge which found the teams searching for balls featuring the countries they’d visited over the course of the race and place them in the correct order of their visits. After putting the balls in order, they were given their final clue, which led them to George Washington’s home at Mt. Vernon.

After a hard-fought race, the order of finish wound up being the hockey players in first, followed by the Bichlers in second. Egender and Bandimere came in third.
