Are Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Breasts Worth $5 Million?

The Client List Season 2 Banner

In an interview with USA Today, Jennifer Love Hewitt touched on the topic of her breasts and joked that she’d accept an offer to insure them for $2.5 million each. “I need like an insurance invitation,” said Hewitt. “If somebody was like, ‘Hey, you know what? We would like to insure your boobs for $2.5 million,’ I would be like, ‘Do it. Love it. Why not?'”

Promoting the return of her series The Client List, Hewitt told USA Today that her grandmother calls her her little “TV ho” and she prefers much more casual attire (sweatpants and t-shirts) when lounging around her house in the evening.

Season two of The Client List kicked off on March 10, 2013. The show airs on Lifetime on Sundays at 10pm.

The Plot:

After last season’s cliffhanger finale, season two of The Client List promises to be no easier for Riley Parks at home or at work. The Texas single mother of two who, after being deserted by her husband and left in financial straits, took a job at a seemingly traditional day spa only to learn that sexual favors are being offered there on the side.

After her estranged husband “Kyle” returns, for better or for worse, Riley must walk the fine line between her anger and love for him and the romantic feelings she has for her brother-in-law “Evan”. Riley also takes a larger role at the spa, resulting in added power, responsibility and burden, further complicating her life. New threats abound this season and trust becomes an overwhelming issue for Riley as everyone, even those she believes she can count on the most, seems to be hiding their own secret.

Book Review: ‘Vanished’

Vanished Book Review

Any book that starts off with the main character lost on a backwoods road on a dark and stormy night has got to be good, right? Well, if it keeps you interested and is a good mystery, then yes. And this book qualifies. We start by reading about Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Moira Harrison in just that predicament. A woman, her face full of fear, appears out of nowhere. Moira loses control of her car, hitting the woman and then a tree. A stranger comes to her aid, but then Moira passes out. When she wakes up she calls 911, but the police try to convince her that she hit a deer.

Moira is unable to get the terrified woman out of her mind. When the police do not find anything to corroborate her story of this woman, she turns to a private investigator. Cal Burke, an ex-homicide detective, is part of a three-man firm named Phoenix, Inc. Together, he and his two co-workers, one a former ATF agent and the other a former Secret Service Agent, agree that though Moira’s story is very strange, the more they look into it, the more they know she is telling the truth – the mysterious woman does exist, but who is she, and what happened to her? If Moira hit her, why is there no evidence of it, and where did this woman go?

As Moria and the Phoenix group work together to solve this mystery, the ingredient of romance is added to the suspenseful story. Moira and Cal are attracted to each other, but both have their reasons for denying their feelings. As the investigation progresses, Moira hears a voice on the television – the voice of a man that sends chills through her. Is this the voice of the stranger that checked on Moira when her car was in the accident? Did he have something to do with it? How could that be, since he is a well-known physician who had just won a humanitarian award?

The book is full of twists and turns, and the reader is kept in suspense until the end, when the mysteries are solved, the questions answered. This is a book that will appeal to a wide range of readers; a romantic suspense novel, a great mystery novel with well-written and developed characters. I can certainly see why Amazon named it one of the best books of the month and a top 10 romance release for January, 2013.

Mandy Moore fans hoping to see her on the small screen are out of luck. Moore has pulled out of the ABC series Pulling, a comedy about three dysfunctional 30ish women.

The series is directed by Pitch Perfect‘s Jason Moore and is based on the 2006 British series. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher) are handling the script duties.

Moore left the show after plans for her character, Louise, went off in a different direction than originally indicated. Moore was quoted as saying: “Many things change quickly as a pilot moves into production. And in this case, Lee and Gene moved the character in a different direction, it was clear this wasn’t right for me. Rather than jeopardize the show, I asked to step aside. They and ABC were very accommodating, and wish them all the best in the fall. It’s a terrific show that worked so well in the UK, I hope it gets the audience it deserves here.”

Burning Love star June Diane Raphael is currently attached to star in the series.

Book Review: ‘The Romanov Cross’

The Romanov Cross

The Romanov Cross grabs the reader from the first four words: “Sergei, do not die,…” and doesn’t let go. Not your typical mystery thriller, The Romanov Cross combines the frozen wilderness of Alaska, Inuit Eskimo history, the Spanish flu that killed thousands in 1918, Tsar Nicolas II and his beautiful daughter Anastasia, the always-mysterious and haunting Grigori Rasputin, and the threat of another epidemic reminiscent of 1918. From these seemingly unrelated elements, author Robert Masello builds a novel that won’t disappoint the reader.

The story is centered on St. Peter’s Island, a small, frozen, rocky, and miserable place off the coast of Alaska. The small island had been settled by a colony of Russians in the 1900s, who were subsequently wiped out by the Spanish flu. A coffin from the graveyard on the presumptively uninhabited island has slipped into the sea due to the permafrost melting. The body in the coffin was a victim of the Spanish flu, and, fearful of a deadly breakout of the flu from more dislodged coffins, the government sends epidemiologist Frank Slater to investigate this frightening possibility.

Dr. Slater, having just been the subject of a court-martial and now no longer in the military, leads a small group of scientists and support personnel tasked with making sure the virus is indeed dead and no longer a threat.

On the island, the team has to compete with, among other things, treasure-hunting thieves, a pack of mysterious wolves, and the virus itself.

We are treated to a history lesson on the lives of the Romanovs – a history permanently linked to St. Peter’s Island and the present-day events. It may seem unlikely that a book that alternates between two very real historical events – the Spanish flu and the end of the Romanov dynasty – can be fast-paced and suspenseful, but this book is. We grow to care about Dr. Slater, Anastasia, and the spunky Inuit mayor of Port Orlov, Nika Tincook. The history of the Inuit people and Port Orlov adds depth to the character of the mayor and the overall texture of the book.

Whether you like history, science, mystery, thrillers, romance, or even a bit of the supernatural, The Romanov Cross has it all. The many characters are extremely well-crafted and developed without confusing the reader. This book will take you on an adventure from the first sentence, taking you back one hundred years and then to the present at a moment’s notice, all while maintaining a fast pace and your interest until you finish the last sentence.

SNL Video: Justin Timberlake Joins the Five-Timers Club

Saturday Night Live scored their best ratings in over a year with the return of Justin Timberlake as host. The March 9, 2013 SNL episode marked singer/actor Timberlake’s fifth time handling the hosting gig, making him the newest member of the exclusive 5-timers club.

One of the best skits of the night found his fellow 5-timers welcoming him to the club. Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Candice Bergen, Tom Hanks, Paul Simon, and Alec Baldwin showed up to take part in his special night. The ‘club’ skit also featured Martin Short and Dan Aykroyd as waiters (since they aren’t actually in the club).

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss ‘Catching Fire’ Portrait

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Catching Fire Portrait

Doesn’t Jennifer Lawrence look gorgeous as Katniss Everdeen in this new poster from the Capitol Portrait series? Yes, she does. The second installment in The Hunger Games series isn’t hitting theaters for another eight months, but at least we can rest assured Lionsgate isn’t going to be shy about putting out promotional materials for Catching Fire.

Set for release on November 22, 2013, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Jena Malone.

The Plot:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a ‘Victor’s Tour’ of the districts. Along the way, Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane Coming Out 7 Years After Its Festival Debut

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane Poster with Amber HeardWell, that didn’t take long at all, did it? A mere seven years after All the Boys Love Mandy Lane had its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, RADiUS-TWC has snatched up the US distribution rights and will be releasing the film in theaters.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane stars Amber Heard, Anson Mount, and Michael Welch. The movie was Warm Bodies helmer Jonathan Levine’s first feature film.

Commenting on the pick-up, Levine said, “I am thrilled that Mandy Lane has been rescued and is back where it belongs with Harvey and Bob. Hard to believe it’s been seven years, but then again I’ve always perceived myself as a misunderstood artist who was light years ahead of his time, so I am thrilled the world has finally caught up. Seriously, I am incredibly proud of the film and of the hard work that my cast and collaborators put into it, and I am so happy the world will finally get a chance to see it.”

And executive producer Keith Calder added: “It’s finally time for me to come clean… During the production of Mandy Lane, I broke a mirror and doomed the film to seven years of bad luck. Thankfully, the team at RADiUS-TWC has shown up to rescue our film and clear my guilty conscience. I’m ecstatic that our first film with RADiUS-TWC is also the first film we produced, and I’m looking forward to working with Harvey, Bob, Jason, and Tom on the release.”

The Plot:

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is about a group of high-schoolers who invite Mandy Lane, “a good girl” who becomes the object of everyone’s affection after returning from summer break, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to mysteriously drop one at a time.
