First Look: Oblivion Movie Trailer

Here it is as promised: Universal Pictures has made available the very first official trailer for Oblivion starring Tom Cruise. The sci-fi action adventure film was directed by TRON: Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinski and will arrive in theaters in IMAX® on April 12, 2013 and in theaters everywhere April 19th.

The Plot:

On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.

Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete.

Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.

‘Homeland’ and ‘It’s Always Sunny’ Hilarious Mash-Up

The Hollywood Reporter turned us on to this video put together by a fan of Homeland and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Apparently, the rantings of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in Homeland reminded the viewer of a scene from It’s Always Sunny with Charlie Day, and the fan put together a funny mash-up featuring Homeland season 1 episode 11 and season 4 episode 10 of It’s Always Sunny.

New Poster: Pain and Gain

Paramount’s released this new poster for Pain & Gain directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson. Set to hit theaters on April 26, 2013, Pain & Gain is based on a true story about a group of bodybuilders who are part of a kidnapping and extortion ring.
