Beyonce Adds Another Concert at Ovation Hall

Beyonce’s Memorial Day weekend concerts at Revel Center sold out within minutes, prompting an additiona; show to be added on May 28th. Beyonce’s concerts at Revel over the May 25-28 holiday weekend will be her first live concerts since last summer (before the birth of Blue Ivy).

Tickets for the just-added show will go on sale to Beyonce’s fans via a presale on Beyonce.com on Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m., EDT. Tickets are available to the general public on May 14 at 10 a.m., EDT. at Ticketmaster.com.

Ovation Hall at Revel Center can seat 5,000 fans, each with an unobstructed view of the performer. The new hall opened for an eight week preview on April 2nd, with the location’s premiere coming Memorial Day weekend.

Revel Center is located on the Boardwalk at Connecticut Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The Hunger Games Gets a June Release in China

The Hunger Games has already collected more than $620 million worldwide, with fans of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling trilogy seeing the film multiple times and newbies to the story catching on to Collins’ characters via this first film of the series. Now Lionsgate’s announced the audience for The Hunger Games will be growing in June with the film’s release in China.
 
According to Lionsgate, the film will be dubbed and subtitled for release in China. And per a new agreement, Lionsgate will be able to collect up to 25% of the film’s receipts making it one of the first major studio releases benefiting from this new revenue sharing agreement.
 
The Plot:
 
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
 
Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Jackson Rathbone Returns for ‘Aim High’ Season 2

The online series Aim High is returning for a second season, with Jackson Rathbone (‘Jasper’ in Twilight) back in the lead role as a government operative named Nick Green.

Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Dolphin Digital Studios, Inc., and Wonderland Sound and Vision announced today that the series had been greenlit for a second season. Filming’s expected to begin later this month in Los Angeles and Ari Sandel (Oscar winner for the live-action short West Bank Story) is on board to direct.

“The first season of Aim High was well received by online audiences and fans will be blown away by what we have planned for season two,” stated producer McG. “I am thrilled to be working with a filmmaker as talented as Ari Sandel. His proficiency in storytelling and ability to connect with a discriminate audience are second to none.”

The Plot:

Aim High is the story of a young man leading a double life – juggling his studies by day and serving as a government operative by night. Season one of the series chronicled the life of Nick Green and his junior year of High School while working as one of the country’s 64 highly trained teenage operatives.

Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey woman nicknamed “Tanning Mom” after being accused of taking her five year old daughter to a tanning salon, was the subject of a skit on the May 5, 2012 episode of Saturday Night Live. Kristen Wiig appeared as Krentcil during the “Weekend Update” segment, with WU host Seth Meyers comparing her skin to that of a baseball mitt and Wiig as Krentcil defending her love of tanning.

Spotlight On: Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” Music Video

Justin Bieber’s latest music video, “Boyfriend,” has set a new record for the most single day views on YouTube. Bieber’s “Boyfriend” video – which features hot cars and scantily clad women (although the emphasis seems to be on the cars) – had over 8 million hits in 24 hours. On May 5th, Bieber tweeted to his 21 million followers:

Over 8 MILLION VIEWS in 1 DAY! Most Views ever in 24 HOURS! grateful.”

Posted on YouTube on May 3rd, as of May 6th at 6:30pm PST, “Boyfriend” has been viewed 15,256,690 times.

‘Chernobyl Diaries’ Preview: Plot, Cast, and Trailer

The rule-breakers in Warner Bros Pictures’ Chernobyl Diaries include Devin Kelley as Amanda, Jonathan Sadowski as Paul, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Zoe, and Olivia Taylor Dudley as Natalie. Jesse McCartney plays Chris, Nathan Philips is Michael, and Dimitri Diatchenko is Uri.

Directed by Brad Parker, the R-rated horror film is set to open in theaters on May 25, 2012.

Oscar-winner Jennifer Connelly (2001’s A Beautiful Mind) has committed to being an Artist Ambassador for the Save the Children organization, working to help out children in need around the world. Connelly’s involvement as an Artist Ambassador was announced at the charity’s fourth biennial Celebration of Hope event in Greenwich, Conn.

Comedy Central Debuts ‘Workaholics: The Other Cubicle’

The guys behind Comedy Central’s Workaholics are taking their act to the web with Workaholics: The Other Cubicle, a new series just for the web. According to Comedy Central, Workaholics: The Other Cubicle will follow the office shenanigans of the other TelAmeriCorp trio, Montez Walker (Erik Griffin), Jet Set (Jet Set Hudson) and Waymond Womano (Waymond Lee), with the first episode involving a battle of the last Choco Taco.

The first episode was directed by Kevin Etten. Additional webisodes will be released during Workaholics‘ third season premiering on May 29th at 10:30pm.

What to Expect Soundtrack Details

What to Expect When You're ExpectingCapitol Records is releasing the What To Expect When You’re Expecting soundtrack on May 15th (digitally) and May 22nd (physically) featuring songs from Chiddy Bang, Black Lips, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, David Gray, and Jimmy Buffett cover band A1A. The film, based on the bestselling book by Heidi Murkoff, stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford, Brooklyn Decker, Ben Falcone, Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Rodrigo Santoro, and Joe Manganiello, and was directed by Kirk Jones.
