Girls Season 1 May 2012 Episodes

Have you caught on to Girls yet? It’s one of the best reviewed new shows on cable TV, and it’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon. The HBO series, which kicked off on April 15th, was created by and stars Lena Dunham. Judd Apatow (Funny People, The 40 Year Old Virgin) executive produces the series which has a 10 episode run on Sunday nights.

The Plot:

Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna are trying to figure life out. They’ve been living in New York for a couple of years, but they’re still not sure what they want – from boys, from each other, from themselves. And things aren’t getting any clearer.

Hannah (Lena Dunham) is a unique mixture of self-entitlement and self-loathing. She believes she has the talent to be a successful writer, but forgets she has to write first. She wants to have a boyfriend without the obligations of a relationship, and a job without having to work. She’s ultimately good-natured, with a spirited sense of humor. But every time Hannah is about to improve her circumstances, her cluelessness undercuts her.

Marnie (Allison Williams), Hannah’s roommate and best friend, is a Type A personality with strict rules about friendship. She seems like Hannah’s opposite, because she’s got an actual job and a serious boyfriend. But while she’s more together on the surface, her unwillingness to admit how lost she is may mean that she’s the most lost.

Jessa (Jemima Kirke) is a live-and-let-live bohemian who’s allergic to anything she views as bourgeois. She wants a life less ordinary and has traveled extensively. She’s had lots of different jobs and lots of different boyfriends, but her apparent lack of fear belies her own kind of insecurity. Jessa is apt to put crazy ideas in Hannah’s head that are easier for a gorgeous British girl to pull off than they are for anxious, rumpled Hannah.

Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), Jessa’s roommate and cousin, aspires to the Sex and the City lifestyle. She’s an NYU student obsessed with “women’s issues,” gluten-free foods and sexcentric self-help. The others tend to underestimate her because she’s suburban and innocent, but Shoshanna can be a surprisingly incisive source of wisdom.

High School Red Band Trailer

Adrien Brody won an Academy Award for his incredibly moving performance in The Pianist, but there’s no chance he’ll repeat that feat with his starring role in High School – and that’s totally fine. High School‘s an R-rated stoner comedy that shows off a completely different side of Brody. High School also stars Colin Hanks, Adhir Kalyan and Yeardley Smith and was written by Eric Linthorst and John Stalberg, Jr, with John Stalberg Jr directing.

The Plot:

The day after soon-to-be valedictorian Henry Burke (Matt Bush) takes a hit of the chronic for the first time, his school principal (Michael Chiklis) institutes a zero tolerance drug policy and administers a mandatory drug test for all students. Henry has two options: fail and lose his college scholarship, or team up with his stoner friend Breaux (Sean Marquette) to beat the system. They steal a high powered ganja from law student-turned-drug-dealer Psycho Ed (Adrien Brody) and spike the school’s bake sale brownies, getting the whole school—faculty included—completely stoned out of their minds. But with the student body getting higher and higher with every brownie, and a pissed-off Psycho Ed on their tails for stealing his stash, they must find a way to keep their half-baked plan from going up in smoke.

Kadee wants the world to hear and see her true talent.

Despite every obstacle that gets thrown in their way, once Charlie and Kadee find one another, they each finally get what they have been looking for – a voice, a stage, an audience and each other. Get ready for more blood and more boobs – those man/woman-eating piranha are back in 3D with more action and more large-breasted women. Dimension Films just released a new trailer for Piranha 3DD with more of everything, including David Hassselhoff.

The Plot:

After the terror unleashed on Lake Victoria in Piranha 3D, the pre-historic school of blood thirsty piranhas are back. This time, no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of summer’s best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.
