Although the March 3, 2012 episode of Saturday Night Live generated the second highest viewership of the season, it was definitely not one of the most entertaining episodes of the series. Lindsay Lohan returned as host but was pretty much relegated to supporting duty for most of the show. And while she made fun of her own legal troubles, Lohan had a hard time keeping her eyes off the cue cards which was distracting.
But the episode wasn’t a complete waste. The Real Housewives of Disney skit was probably the best of the night, although it needed more Kristen Wiig!
Sitting down with MTV News, Taylor Swift – who is featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack – admits the books really affected her, so much so that she used to think about what she could make a weapon out of if necessary.
Maroon 5 lead vocalist Adam Levine and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael are part of the “Anyone Can Get Lung Cancer” public awareness campaign launched by the non-profit organization Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (BJALCF), with the PSA debuting today. The campaign, according to the BJALCF, “encourages everyone to spread awareness and raise funding for the cancer that kills more than 1.3 million worldwide annually and 450 per day in the United States.”

Statement from Bonnie J. Addario, Founder of BJALCF:
“This is a major milestone in the global fight against Lung Cancer. We are thrilled and honored to have Maroon 5 — the musical VOICE of a generation — lending its support, celebrity and international reach to help the world recognize that Anyone Can Get Lung Cancer. We all need to work together to change that, and it starts with supporting BJALCF.
The devastation of Lung Cancer can be stopped when people rise up, get involved, raise awareness and say ‘I can make a difference. I can save a life.’ We must continue to build on this momentum and ask that all TV stations, all writers, all celebrities, and all people who can possibly lend their voice to the end of the Lung Cancer join in this initiative. Thank you Maroon 5, Universal, Career Artist Management, and thank you, in advance, to the rest of you who will step up to the plate and make Lung Cancer Matter.”

“Power is a curious thing … who lives, who dies … power resides where men believes it resides” – Death is mentioned multiple times in the latest trailer for season two of the critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones, and having read all the books of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin, that constant threat of death is totally in keeping with Martin’s stories. Even Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) reminds us in a final warning at the end of the trailer that “anyone can be killed.” Who lives, who dies – Martin’s unafraid to kill off well-liked characters, but do we have to be reminded of it in the new trailer?
Hurry up, April 1st – Game of Thrones season 2 promises to be a real killer.

Relativity Media offers up this behind-the-scenes look at Armie Hammer’s character, Prince Alcott, in Mirror Mirror. Directed by Tarsem Singh (Immortals) and set to hit theaters on March 30, 2012, Mirror Mirror is a twisted take on Snow White with Lily Collins as the fairest of the fair, Julia Roberts as the wicked Queen, and Sean Bean as the King.
The Plot:
Visionary director Tarsem Singh rewrites fairy tale history as a wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan’s (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer). When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits.
Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen. With the support of her subjects, she roars into action in an epic battle that blends spectacle, magic, and contemporary humor in Singh’s signature, jaw-dropping visual style.

About the Show [Courtesy of ABC:]
Based on the book Good Christian Bitches, GCB is a funny, sassy and heartwarming drama that begs the question: Can you go back home to a place where no one seems to have grown up?
When former mean girl Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb) moves back to Dallas 18 years after high school, former unpopular teen-turned-diva-of-Dallas Carlene Cockburn (Emmy and Tony Award-Winner Kristin Chenoweth) gets a major dose of PTSD. To top it off, Amanda’s living across the street from the Cockburns with her feisty mother Gigi Stopper (Emmy Award-Nominee Annie Potts)! Amanda has changed for the morally better but Carlene and her other victims — the GCBs — have their doubts. The GCBs now rule the school that is Dallas society and are about to settle the score with Amanda Vaughn.
The other fabulous GCBs include the shrewd, distinguished CEO Cricket (Miriam Shor); the endearing, consummate housewife and mother, Sharon (Jennifer Aspen); and the self-made, always-single-but-on-the-prowl Heather (Marisol Nichols).
Behind every great GCB (except Heather, of course), is a great husband, which includes Carlene’s Ripp (David James Elliot), a devoted hunk with a secret or two; Cricket’s Blake (Mark Deklin), her gorgeously fabulous better half; and Sharon’s Zack (Brad Beyer), a good-time guy and former pro athlete.
The Gallagher family continues to fall apart in Shamless‘ season 2 episode 8 airing Sunday, March 4th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
