The trailer for Apple TV’s Hijack season two shows Idris Elba + public transportation = chaos. Season one placed the action on a plane, while season two is more grounded, moving the crisis to a train.
The first season premiered in June 2023, and the eight-episode second season will debut on January 14, 2026. New episodes will stream on Wednesdays.
In addition to Idris Elba, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and Archie Panjabi return for the new season. New series stars include Christian Näthe, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Lisa Vicari, Toby Jones, Karima McAdams, and Christiane Paul.
“In the thrilling second season of Hijack, a Berlin underground train and its commuters are taken hostage, while above ground authorities scramble to save hundreds of lives,” reads Apple TV’s synopsis. “Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the heart of the crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster.”

Lupin‘s George Kay and Criminal‘s Jim Field Smith created the series and executive produce. Additional executive producers include Idris Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash. Field Smith is the series’ lead director.

Discovery Channel’s Expedition X kicks off season 11 with an episode that heads to an Old West mining town rife with paranormal activity. Jack Osbourne joins the investigators as they explore Vulture City, Arizona in the season premiere airing on January 7, 2026 at 9pm ET/PT.
Season 11 stars adventurer Josh Gates, paranormal investigator Heather Amaro, and scientist Phil Torres. The team will take on investigations in Slovenia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Spain, and San Francisco.

A24’s The Moment trailer confirms you don’t need to be a fan of Charli XCX, but it would obviously help. The mockumentary, which will have its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, stars Charli XCX playing a version of herself out on tour at the height of “Brat Summer.”
The cast also includes Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, and Rachel Sennott. Murderbot‘s Alexander Skarsgård stars as the director.
First-time feature film director Aidam Zamiri directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Bertie Brandes, based on Charli XCX’s original idea. A24’s synopsis reads: “A rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut.”
Charli XCX and David Hinojosa serve as producers, with Zach Nutman, Brandon Creed, and Mikey Schwartz-Wright executive producing. Zamiri’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Sean Price Williams, production designer Francesca Di Mottola, and editors Billy Sneddon and Neal Farmer.
The Moment will premiere in theaters on January 30, 2026.
SEAL Team’s Alona Tal guest stars as a former classmate of Bode’s on CBS’s Fire Country season four, episode eight. “Fresh Start” airs on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.

90 feature films and seven episodic projects have made the 2026 Sundance Film Festival lineup. 16,201 projects were submitted, and of the chosen lineup, 94 are world premieres. First-time feature filmmakers make up 40% of the film lineup.
The 2026 Sundance Film Festival will run January 22 through February 1 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah. Limited packages and passes are currently available, and single tickets will go on sale on January 14, 2026 at 10am MT.

2026 could be the best year for fans of both Robert Pattinson and Zendaya. Pattinson and Zendaya team up as a couple on the bumpy road to marriage in The Drama, which just released a teaser. They’ll reunite for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, an epic adaptation of Homer’s poem, opening on July 17, and for Dune: Part Three, releasing in December.
The Drama, opening on April 3, 2026, also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Benton Gates.
The romantic comedy was written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario). And A24 offers a super simple plot description: “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.”

John Stamos, Dale Dickey, and Cam Gigandet have boarded season two of Netflix’s The Hunting Wives. The newcomers will appear in recurring roles, with Stamos (Palm Royale) playing Chase Brylan, Dickey (Fallout) as Zelda Moffitt, and Gigandet (the Twilight franchise) as Gentle John Moffitt.
The just-announced recurring guest stars join a cast led by Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman. Returning series stars also include Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery, and Branton Box. The streamer previously announced Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan have been added to the drama’s second season.
“At the start of season two, Sophie and Margo are on the outs,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
Filming is now underway on season two. The series premiered on July 21, 2025, and thus far Netflix hasn’t announced a target date for the release of the eight-episode second season.
The Hunting Wives is based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel and was created by Rebecca Cutter. Cutter is the writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Cobb and Erwin Stoff also executive produce.
