Preview: ‘The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder’ Docuseries

Investigation Discovery dives into the 2012 murder of Colorado mortician Byron Griffy in The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder. The three-part documentary series premieres on ID on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 8pm ET/PT.

ID offers this description of the true crime series:

“In October 2012, Byron Griffy—respected mortician, devoted family man, and pillar of his rural Colorado community—was found dead on his remote ranch, shot execution-style. At first glance, it looked like a robbery gone wrong. But as detectives dug deeper, they discovered something far more twisted: an unthinkable betrayal and a tangled web of lies that exposed the town’s darkest secrets.

Over the course of three parts, The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder exposes the disturbing truths that can lurk just beneath the surface of seemingly friendly communities. Featuring interviews with key individuals involved in the case, the investigators who searched for the truth, and the townspeople who still wrestle with the revelations this investigation exposed, this docuseries shows that no matter how hard people try to keep their secrets hidden, the truth has a way of always coming to light.”

The three-part docuseries was produced for Investigation Discovery by Citizen Jones.

‘Tracker’ Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: “Leverage”

Tracker Season 3 Episode 2 Recap
Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw and Jensen Ackles as Russell Shaw in ‘Tracker’ season 3 episode 2 (Photo: Sergei Bachlakov © 2025 CBS Broadcasting, Inc)

Part two of CBS’s Tracker season three’s premiere begins with a man driving and crying, staring at his bloody hand before answering a text asking if the task is complete. He responds that it is and is told to wait for more instructions.

(The following is a recap of season three episode two, “Leverage,” and contains spoilers.)

A woman kisses her son, Nicky, good night just as the driver, Harith Holmes (Omid Abtahi), arrives home. They have Nicky back, but apparently they haven’t seen the last of The Process. Harith killed Ockman’s sister, and they can’t go to the police because The Process will kill Nicky. Just then, Harith receives another text telling him to find Colter and Russell Shaw.

Colter (Justin Hartley) and Russell (Jensen Ackles) grab breakfast at a diner, and Colter confirms the police want to blame Ockman for everything. Randy (Chris Lee) joins them and introduces himself to Russell. (They call each other “legends.”) He was able to trace the calls Colter and Russell received, and after tracking them through 100+ locations, it landed on Raymond Ockman’s home address. Randy believes it’s a ruse since Lisa’s burner phone’s encryption was a lot more sophisticated. Whoever sent them the texts wanted them to land on Raymond.

Colter’s determined to put an end to this game and The Process.

Reenie (Fiona Rene) visits Raymond in jail and volunteers to be his lawyer. Raymond claims he didn’t kill his sister but doesn’t deny murdering Kurt or kidnapping Hailey. He was forced to follow instructions from The Process; they know everything about him. Reenie asks for every detail he remembers about The Process, but he becomes paranoid and thinks she’s one of the leaders when she acknowledges a guard who enters the room. He ends the jailhouse conversation without divulging any details.

Randy, Colter, and Russell are going over the cell phone pings when Harith walks into the diner. One of the pings goes to an empty patch of land two hours away, and they want to check it out. Harith secretly snaps a photo as Colter learns Lisa’s awake at the hospital. He’s heading there to find out what she remembers, while Russell heads to the ping location. Randy’s just going to relax and eat.

Lisa reveals it started when Ockman called claiming to have Hailey. He ordered her to follow the instructions from The Process, and if she did, Hailey would be fine. She rushed home, found Kurt dead, and got a text telling her to get cash. Lisa removed Kurt’s hand to open his safe, grabbed the cash, and took his gun. She received orders to steal a car, wire $10,000 into an account, and get an envelope with a key at an office. But Colter stopped her from completing that.

Lisa admits they knew she was running a scam and urged her family and co-workers to get involved. She believes it was her fault Hailey was taken so she followed the instructions. Lisa also believes there are people still watching her.

Harith shows the photo he took to another victim of The Process and is given a bag. The other guy’s been forced into working for The Process for seven years and warns Harith not to ask questions. Before driving away he says, “Do what they ask you to do. You know what happens if you don’t.”

The package contains a gun. Harith receives texted instructions to follow Russell and wait for further instructions.

Russell asked Reenie to give him a ride to the remote location, still hoping for a date. He compliments her, and they have a friendly chat about work. He pretends to be sad when she reveals she ended things with Elliot. But then Russell gets a little serious and assures her he’s there if she wants to talk about it.

Russell keeps glancing behind them at a car that appears to be tailing them. He would rather not worry Reenie, so he claims to need to use the restroom.

Colter returns to the building Lisa was heading into just as Randy calls to tell him he doesn’t think the guy who rented Suite 109 is real. A shady dude walks past Colter down the hallway, but Colter enters the suite anyway.  There are filing cabinets and some furniture, but it appears no one is using the office.  He finds the locked briefcase and makes quick work of the lock. Inside are photos of Ockman and a high school boy in an inappropriate relationship. It’s what they’re using to make Ockman do their dirty work.

The serial number has been removed making it nearly impossible for Randy to trace the briefcase.

The guard who was present during part of Reenie’s talk looks in on Ockman. Shortly thereafter Ockman’s found hanging. It’s deemed a suicide. Reenie’s informed of Ockman’s death and Russell thinks maybe Ockman was right; the guard is part of The Process. If so, The Process has “serious reach.”

Russell looks around for the car he thought was following them, and Reenie’s shocked that he didn’t tell her about it. He decides it’s best that he drives, just in case.  They get back on the road, and the car is back on their tail. It’s a new car and Reenie doesn’t want him to do anything Russell-y, but of course he does. He spins it around and heads toward the car tailing them at high speed. The game of chicken turns out like Russell planned and the other car crashes.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 2 Recap

Russell approaches it with his gun out and finds the driver unconscious behind the wheel. He opens the man’s phone and sees the photo of him and Colter at the diner. Later, Harith comes to, tied to a chair in a safe house.  He claims he can’t help Russell and denies knowing what The Process is. Colter joins them and says Randy’s working on digging up info on this guy. Reenie’s getting info on Ockman’s death, and the police have a detail assigned to Lisa and Hailey.

Harith continues to claim he doesn’t work for The Process just as a text message arrives asking if he’s handled Russell Shaw. He confesses he has to do things for them or they’ll kidnap his son again. He’s back doing their bidding because Raymond Ockman failed. Harith reveals The Process can call on its victims anytime to handle any interruption in carrying out its instructions. Colter and Russell are interruptions.

He believes The Process has been around for a decade but doesn’t know who runs it. Another text arrives asking if he’s done, and Colter decides they need to kill Russell. (Obviously, not really.)  Russell poses, looking dead, which should buy them time. Harith doesn’t know who’s been sent after Colter but is convinced no one can stop The Process. He begs for their help and Colter sets him free to call his son, since it’s his birthday.  He admits The Process knows he stole money from his employer.

A text arrives telling him he has three hours to contact the next target. If he doesn’t, Nicky will die.

Reenie watches footage from the jail and realizes someone erased part of the video. She asks to speak to the guard and learns he was just a temp. The warden refuses to give out his info even after Reenie threatens him with a civil suit.

Reenie calls Colter with the new info, and Randy joins them to confirm he struck gold with the briefcase. Very few of that specific model were sold, but a bunch were sold to Dr. Susanna Tate at Southeast Colorado University 20 years ago. She’s retired, so Randy forwards her home address to Colter.

Susanna Tate confirms the briefcase looks like one she bought that she would give to her grad students. Colter confirms she researched behavior modification under duress and removes a book of case studies she wrote titled The Process of Leverage and Obedience from her bookshelf.

He asks about The Process and says three people have died. She’s shocked he knows about it; it was an experiment in a class she taught on leverage and obedience. Students were either blackmailers or the targets of blackmail. She halted the experiment when a student hurt her roommate, and some grad students exhibited inappropriate behavior, including increased capacity for cruelty.

Susanna buried the research, but it’s possible a grad student continued with it. Three students didn’t want it shut down—Don Schneider, Jillian Meeks, and Philip Jost. Schneider was the worst because he took pleasure in the rules of The Process and liked dishing out punishment. Susanna blocked him after the experiment ended because he kept reaching out to her.

She lost touch with all of them and confesses she’s scared of Schneider.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 2 Recap

Russell drives Harith to the meetup and receives a message that the new targets are Joshua and Mandy Dekker. He’s supposed to capture the bank teller. Mandy walks out and Russell rushes up from behind, sticking a gun in her ribs. He warns her not to scream because he’s there to save her life.

Russell informs Colter he’s with the next targets and they’re going to try to keep The Process from knowing they’re onto them. Randy traces the message to Joshua Dekker demanding cash and discovers a ping came from that same remote area Russell was heading to check out.

Russell and Colter meet a mile from the location, and Colter shows Russell a photo of Don Schneider. They discover a locked bunker and break in. An alarm sounds and someone goes running, with Russell giving chase. Colter continues inside, gun drawn.

Russell shoots above the man’s head as he tries to get into a vehicle. He claims Schneider’s in charge and briefly gets the upper hand when he tosses Russell his keys. He’s able to taser Russell and grabs a tire iron, about to hit Russell while he’s down. Russell takes aim and kills him.

Colter enters Schneider’s headquarters, and Schneider pulls up details on Dory and their mom on two screens. Schneider wants him to choose which one to save, but Colter won’t play that game. Schneider gets upset when Colter brings up Dr. Tate; he slams her as a failed academic and reveals The Process is now capable of creating its own targets. “It’s self-sustaining,” says Schneider.

Colter understands that Schneider wanted to be found so that he can be recognized as the mastermind behind The Process. He punches Schneider just as Russell arrives. Colter and Russell shut down the process by shooting the servers.

Later, Reenie advises the Shaw brothers that Don Schneider’s in custody and the FBI is crawling through what’s left of the servers. The FBI’s IT specialists have verified The Process has been stopped. However, the feds are still trying to track down the third grad student, Jillian Meeks. Russell tries to get in a “call me anytime” message but the phone disconnects.

Russell wonders what he should tell their mom when she asks about Colter and Echo Ridge. Colter confesses he’s not ready to talk to her and needs more time. Russell volunteers to investigate the mysterious number Colter found in their dad’s journal, and Colter takes him up on it.

Russell’s not sure what’s next for him; maybe something like what Colter’s doing, without the weird Airstream, of course. He wants to use his skills for the greater good.

Episode two wraps up with Colter agreeing to pay for steak and beer.

‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4 Episode 1 Recap: “Coming ‘Round the Mountain”

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 1 Recap
Taylor Handley as Kyle McLusky and Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky in ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ episode 1, season 4 (Photo Credit: Dennis P. Mong Jr. / Paramount+)

Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown season four opens with a brutal scene involving a train and four bound and gagged men. We never get to know them before they become the first deaths of the new season, which, if episode one is any indication, won’t be backing down on the action or violence.

(The following is recap of season four, episode one, and there are spoilers ahead!)

Kyle (Taylor Handley) is facing time in jail after shooting Robert to keep him from executing a suspect during the third season’s finale. He agrees to a deal that would set a two-year sentence, meaning he’d be out in six months with good behavior. However, he’ll have to be paraded into jail, like everyone else. There’s no getting around it no matter how much Mike (Jeremy Renner) insists there is. Kyle’s lawyer, Barry Chester (Mackenzie Astin), reminds Mike that he got the sentence knocked down from 15-20 years and should be satisfied with that.

Kyle’s okay with serving time because he knows the shooting was justified. He also knows Mike will be looking out for him inside.

Ian (Hugh Dillon) provides a distraction from family matters by bringing Mike in on the train track murders. The train decapitated the four men, and syringes were found not far away. Mike believes someone was cleaning up Konstantin’s mess because the men are Russian. Neither Ian nor Mike thinks Bunny was behind it, meaning there’s a new player in town.

Nina Hobbs (Edie Falco), the new warden replacing the deceased Kareem Moore (we’re going to miss you, Michael Beach), introduces herself to the guards and confirms she’s run five prisons over the last 10 years. She believes Anchor Bay Prison is flawed and she’s going to fix it.

Although Hobbs has an assistant, Torres (Clayton Cardenas), Carney (Lane Garrison) immediately steps up and suggests he can be her right-hand man, just like he was to Moore. She’s unimpressed and describes Moore as unbalanced and inept. “I will not abide any lingering loyalty,” Hobbs warns. She also fires a shot across Bunny’s bow by reminding Kevin Jackson (Denny Love) that the DOC pays him and she now controls what he does at work and during his off hours.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 1 Recap

Mike heads to Bunny’s to discuss the dead Russians, and Bunny (Tobi Bamtefa) blows it off. He’s the king now and no one’s coming for him. As for Kyle’s upcoming incarceration, Bunny thinks Kyle should have killed Robert, not just wounded him. Bunny assures Mike that Raph will be watching over Kyle and making sure no one makes a move on him. Mike’s thankful, and Bunny reminds him that family is family.

Bunny admits he lost a lot of men during the shootout and has a lot of new men on his crew. He teases that he’s making big moves to ensure the streets stay quiet and under his control.

Over at Kyle’s, Tracy (Nishi Munshi) still can’t understand why Kyle’s being punished and Robert isn’t. Kyle hasn’t told the DA the real reason he shot Robert because he doesn’t want to violate their code. He can do six months if it means he keeps his family safe. Kyle will never be a cop again, and they plan on selling the house and leaving Kingstown for good when he’s released.

Raph (Daniel “D Smoke” Farris) and Roberto can’t agree on new terms on who handles the drugs coming into Anchor Bay. It looks like a brawl’s about to break out in the yard, but Carney manages to break it up before fists fly. Raph walks away, aware the Colombians are going to be a problem again.

Mike, Stevie (Derek Webster), and Ian pay a visit to Todd and the Aryan Brotherhood, and Shaver insists he didn’t have anything to do with the dead Russians. The Aryans claim not to have any plans to expand their business and are fine with the way things are. Mike orders Todd to make sure his people are under control while delivering a bloody nose to one who comes at him.

Todd swears Callahan’s no longer calling the shots.

Mike’s also worried about Robert and Ian confirms he’ll keep an eye on him. Mike needs to know if Robert’s going to make a move on anyone. Stevie’s shocked Kyle took the fall. He would have thrown Robert under the bus. After Mike leaves, Ian reminds Stevie that Kyle took the fall so that Robert wouldn’t give up everything he knows about all of them.  Carney gives new guard Cindy Stephens (Laura Benanti) the rundown on Administrative Segregation (Ag Seg), which is the “Candy Land of prison.” The inmates there are on lockdown 23 hours a day. He describes them as the lowest of the low and warns her to stay five feet back from the bars or they’ll snatch her.

Carney also fills Cindy in on Kyle’s upcoming arrival and says he’s not to be screwed with. He’s a standup guy and they need to protect him with their lives.

Back at the station, Stevie gets a heads-up from a neighboring jurisdiction that Iris’ dead body was found. Ian knows she doesn’t have any next of kin, but they are not to ever tell Mike that she died. Ian promises to pay for her burial himself.

DA Evelyn Foley (Necar Zadegan) meets Ian outside the station and says if he gives her Robert Sawyer, Kyle will walk free and she’ll forget about Charlie and Morrissey.  Ian can’t help her, and she warns him she has footage of the day Morrissey died.

Ian spots Robert (Hamish Allan-Headley) watching from a short distance away and can’t believe he’d get within 100 feet of Evelyn. Ian tells him to back off and reminds him Kyle went to prison for him. Robert doesn’t see it that way since Kyle shot him instead of letting him take down a suspect.  Ian assures him Kyle won’t talk and that Mike is too concerned about the DA. Ian, hot off being threatened by Evelyn, hints that someone needs to do something about her.

Mike has his first meeting at the prison with Warden Hobbs, addressing his concern that Kyle has a “soft landing” in prison. If she takes care of Kyle, then Mike will take care of her. He can solve any problem she comes up against, but Hobbs doesn’t think his help will be necessary. She describes Anchor Bay as her new castle and seems to insinuate that he’s no longer the big cheese.

Hobbs says she’ll take care of Kyle, like all her prisoners. She refuses to assign Carney to Ad Seg and assures Mike that Callahan won’t get to Kyle. He’s practically dead and in the infirmary.

Mike cuts to the chase and issues a warning. “I have sway in these walls. If anything happens to my brother, there’s going to be consequences.”

Mike’s driving at dusk when he comes across a woman lying in the street. He approaches, gun out, and discovers she’s unresponsive.

Later, Rebecca (Nichole Galicia) refuses to let Evelyn into Mike’s office, blocking the doorway. But Mike lets her in, even though she’s not invited to take a seat. She swears she’s done all she can and wants him to beg Kyle to change his mind. Mike insists Kyle’s the only good man in town and she’s putting him away anyway. Evelyn promises she gave him the lightest sentence possible but can’t stop him from having to walk the gauntlet through the prisoners.

Mike orders her to leave, informing her she’s now dead to him.

Raph informs Bunny that the Colombians aren’t budging. If they don’t agree to stick with the terms for a last shipment, then they’ll brawl.

Morning arrives and Kyle hugs his wife goodbye. She cries as he leaves with Mike.  They head to the bar and Kyle’s greeted with a round of applause. Mike asks Carney about Ad Seg, and he explains there’s a hot newbie that he’s told to take care of Kyle. Mike’s really worried about Kyle walking through the yard at 4pm when everyone’s out of their cells. It’s a long walk and anything could happen.

As Mike drives Kyle to the sheriff’s office, he warns his brother that he’ll only be safe in his cell. Every prisoner wants to kill a cop, so he’ll have a massive target on his back. Kyle shouldn’t trust anyone unless Mike tells him to do so. Mike’s certain someone will try to kill him, and if he’s attacked, he needs to defend himself as best he can.

Elsewhere, Bunny’s in the backseat of the lead car, with his men one car length behind when a car with out-of-state plates rolls up alongside them and starts shooting. The second car manages to rear-end the shooter’s vehicle, causing it to spin, while Bunny’s car races away.

Ian and Stevie are in hot pursuit when Ian calls Mike to tell him Bunny was shot at but is okay. Mike joins the pursuit even though Ian tells him not to.

Kyle’s prison bus pulls into Anchor Bay, and Kyle’s in chains like the other prisoners on board. He waits in line as the men in front of him are strip-searched. Prison guard Mullen escorts him through the yard as the prisoners catcall from behind the fence. Kyle doesn’t glance their way, staring straight ahead.

He’s brought into Ad Seg and almost immediately a prisoner appears and attacks the guard first and then Kyle.

While Kyle’s getting beaten, the car with the four Mexicans who shot up Bunny’s caravan is heading toward Mike, with Ian hot on their tail. Mike pulls his car in front of the fleeing vehicle, and they come out shooting. Ian and Stevie arrive quickly and take down three of them—with an assist from Mike. They pull one man out alive and uninjured from the backseat and place him under arrest.

An alarm sounds and guards rush to help Mullen and Kyle. Among them is the new female guard, Cindy, and she looks shocked at Kyle’s condition.

Later, after her shift, Cindy drives home, quickly tosses her uniform in the washer, and greets her three kids. She’s acting sketchy, but she’s a good mom.

Kyle refuses to go to the sick bay and suffers from the beating in his cell. Callahan talks to him from another cell, warning Kyle that he should never agree to go to the infirmary. Every con is after him and he’s only safe in his cell.

Mike and Ian have a drink at the bar and Ian says the Colombian they arrested isn’t talking. At least they now know the Colombians are operating in Kingstown and probably killed the Russians.

Carney calls Mike to deliver the bad news about Kyle’s attack. Carney says he’s okay but got worked over good and Mullen has a broken jaw. Mike hangs up and pounds his car, yelling in frustration and anger.

Ghosts Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:

Ghosts is a single-camera comedy about Samantha and Jay, a cheerful freelance journalist and chef from the city, respectively, who threw both caution and money to the wind when they decided to convert Woodstone Mansion, which Sam inherited, into a bed & breakfast—only to find it was inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home.

The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer (Pinnock); a pompous 18th-century militiaman (Scott Jones); a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens (Carrasco); an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader (Moriarty); a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009 (Chandler Long); a slick ‘90s finance bro (Grodman); a sarcastic and witty native from the 16th century (Zaragoza); and a society woman and wife of a 19th-century robber baron who is Sam’s ancestor (Wisocky), to name a few.

The opening of the B&B and Jay’s new restaurant are a source of intrigue, anxiety, and curiosity among the spirits, but they will gladly put up with the commotion as long as they can continue to interact with a living inhabitant.

Daniella Monet will reprise her role as Trina Vega and executive produce Netflix’s Victorious spinoff, Hollywood Arts. Victorious ran on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013, and the spinoff is targeting a 2026 launch on Netflix.

Filming will take place in Vancouver, with Alyssa Miles (Hanging out with Alyssa and Xavier), Emmy Liu-Wang (Raven’s Home), and Peyton Jackson (Woman in the Yard) joining the comedy. Erika Swayze (School Spirits) and Martin Kamm (Unsung Hero) also star, and Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) guest stars.

“Struggling actress Trina Vega (Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.

The 26-episode season has Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin on board as writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Jonathan Judge will direct and executive produce.

“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do,” stated Monet. “Victorious was in a lot of ways life-changing for all of us; our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe. As an actress, producer, and mom, I am so eager to create something we can all be proud to share with the world.”

Doc Series Description, Courtesy of Fox:

“Inspired by a true story and based on the hit eponymous Italian drama series, Doc begins its second season of the life-affirming medical drama following the heartbreak and victories of hard-charging, brilliant physician DR. AMY LARSEN (Parker) as she rebuilds her life after a car crash erased eight years of her memory. This season, Amy will continue to confront hard truths about her missing years, work to repair fractured relationships and seek to reconcile the person she used to be with the one everyone else has come to know.

Determined to get her memory back and piece together who she really is, Amy’s goal is to become the doctor she used to be in those missing years and to eventually, once again, be Chief of Internal Medicine. In the interim, her ex-husband/Westside Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, DR. MICHAEL HAMDA (Metwally) fills the position with Amy’s former mentor and friend DR. JOAN RIDLEY (Huffman), whose motives and priorities remain hidden, just as long as Amy still can’t recall Joan’s life-changing secret. Amy’s best friend and colleague, DR. GINA WALKER (Vann), is weary of Joan’s motives and continues to be a beacon of support for those around her, while finally learning to put on her own oxygen mask first.

While relearning eight years of medical advancements is complicated, it pales in comparison to learning to navigate her new/old/current romantic entanglements. Amy continues to fight her feelings and let Michael go, especially now with the birth of his son with his new wife, bringing up emotions for both Amy and their daughter KATIE HAMDA (Fountain-Jardim). Amy’s on-again, off-again relationship with Chief Resident DR. JAKE HELLER (Ecker) is a bit more delicate as he struggles to protect his heart from her this time around. However, DR. SONYA MAITRA (Banerjee) would only be too glad to pick up the pieces, navigating the balance between her feelings for Jake and her complicated resentment towards Amy.

The second season of Doc begins as Amy’s past comes back to haunt her when a desperate father sacrifices everything to secure his daughter’s heart transplant. Chaos and confusion reverberate through the hallways of Westside Medical when a subsequent high-stakes emergency leaves a doctor’s life in the balance.”
