’13 Reasons Why’ Season 3 Gets a Premiere Date and Reveals Another Death

Netflix has released a short teaser trailer for the third season of the critically accliamed drama, 13 Reasons Why. The trailer, which also served as an announcement of the season three premiere date, zooms from central character to central character. It finishes with the revelation of a main character’s death and asks the question of who might have killed him/her. (No spoilers here – watch the trailer for the big reveal).

Season three will arrive on August 23, 2019. The third season will consist of 13 one-hour episodes, per Netflix.

The cast of season three includes Dylan Minnette as Clay Jensen, Brandon Flynn as Justin Foley, Justin Prentice as Bryce Walker, Alisha Boe as Jessica Davis, and Christian Navarro as Tony Padilla. Miles Heizer plays Alex Standall, Devin Druid is Tyler Down, Ross Butler is Zach Dempsey, Timothy Granaderos is Montgomery de la Cruz, and Anne Winters is Chloe.

The third season also stars Steven Weber as Principle Bowen, Brenda Strong as Mrs. Walker, and Amy Hargreaves as Mrs. Jensen. Grace Saif joins the cast as Ani.

13 Reasons Why was created by Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey. Yorkey executive producers along with Joy Gorman, Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin, and Selena Gomez.

Deadline reports season four of the series, currently in production, will be the show’s final season.
