‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Season 2 Trailer: Count Olaf is Back

The official trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events teases “no matter how dark it may seem, it can always get worse.” The two and a half minute trailer for season two of the Netflix series shows the Baudelaire orphans will still be facing off against the evil Count Olaf.

Netflix confirmed season two will consist of 10 new one-hour episodes. A Series of Unfortunate Events‘ second season is set to premiere on March 30, 2018.

Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) returns as Count Olaf and Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny (Presley Smith) are back for the series’ second season. The returning cast also includes Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket and K. Todd Freeman as Mr. Poe.

New cast members joining the fun include Lucy Punch (You, Me and Him), Nathan Fillion (Modern Family, Castle), Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Sara Rue (Bones, Mom), Roger Bart (Graves, Episodes), and David Alan Grier (The Carmichael Show). Emmy Award-winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket) serve as executive producers.

The Plot: Based on the internationally best selling series of books, season two of the Netflix original series plunges further into the epic world of this darkly comedic mystery. Starring Emmy and Tony Award-winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – and their extraordinary encounters with the devious Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. Foiling his many dastardly plans and disguises, the young siblings discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death, links to a covert organization, and begin to unlock long-held family secrets.
