Netflix’s limited series Tall Pines has a new title – Wayward – and five new cast members. Chucky‘s Alyvia Alyn Lind and Davey & Jonesie’s Locker‘s Sydney Topliffe have joined the thriller as series regulars. Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Patrick Gallagher (Big Sky), and Josh Close (Killers Of The Flower Moon) have boarded the series as recurring guest stars.
They join Mae Martin (The Flight Attendant), Sarah Gadon (Ferrari), and Brandon Jay McLaren (The Cleaning Lady) who were previously announced to star. Martin is also the co-creator and serves as co-showrunner with Ryan Scott (Fear the Walking Dead).
“Wayward is a thriller set in a bucolic but sinister town that explores the insidious underbelly of the ‘troubled teen industry’ and the eternal struggle between one generation and the next,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.
Martin says she’s been dying to tell this story for years. “I’m beyond excited for people to see what we have in store! It’s going to be an insane roller coaster and so different to anything I’ve done before,” stated Martin when the series was announced in April 2023. “Very very grateful to Netflix for supporting it, and I can’t wait to get going.”
The eight-episode limited series is executive produced by Martin, Scott, Hannah Mackay, Jennifer Kawaja, Bruno Dubé, and Ben Farrell, producing through his company, Objective Fiction.
