Starz released the first official teaser trailer and photo from season two of the horror comedy Ash vs Evil Dead. Bruce Campbell returns in the titular role of Ash and Lucy Lawless is back as Ruby. Also returning from season one are Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, Ash’s sidekicks who help him battle demons while tossing out one-liners.
The 10 episode season two will premiere in October 2016. New cast members include Lee Majors as Ash’s dad, Ted Raimi as Ash’s childhood best friend, and Michelle Hurd as Ash’s high school love. Craig DiGregorio executive produces and is the showrunner, with Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell, and Ivan Raimi also executive producing.
The Plot: The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
Season two also finds Ruby now in possession of the powerful Necronomicon and Pablo recovering from the wounds he suffered in the cabin. Kelly Maxwell will be spending season two plotting revenge against The Evil Dead for the death of her parents.
