Season two of Netflix’s award-winning anthology series Beef has landed three-time Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, Emmy nominee Oscar Isaac, Critics Choice Award nominee Charles Melton, and Alliance of Women Film Journalists nominee Cailee Spaeny to star. Season one, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, earned eight Emmys, four Critics Choice Awards, two SAG Awards, and two Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Netflix offered this teaser of the new season: “A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”

Lee Sung Jin created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer of the eight-episode second season. Additional executive producers include Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, and Jake Schreier.

Carey Mulligan earned Best Actress Oscar nominations for her performances in Maestro, Promising Young Woman, and An Education. Oscar Isaac was nominated for an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie Emmy for 2022’s Scenes from a Marriage. Charles Melton earned a Best Supporting Actor Critics Choice Awards nomination for May December starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman. And Cailee Spaeny was recently seen in Priscilla, Civil War, and Alien: Romulus.
