NBC’s set to premiere the new dramatic series Bluff City Law on September 23, 2019. The new hour-long drama will air as part of NBC’s fall 2019-2020 lineup on Mondays at 10pm ET/PT.
Jimmy Smits leads the cast of season one as lawyer Elijah Strait. Caitlin McGee plays Sydney Strait, Scott Shepherd is George Bell, Barry Sloane is Jake Reilly, Michael Luwoye is Anthony Little, MaameYaa Boafo is Briana Johnson, Stony Blyden is Emerson Howe, Jayne Atkinson is Della Bedford, and Josh Kelly plays Robbie Ellis.
Dean Georgaris (The Brave, The Meg) writes and executive produces. Michael Aguliar and David Janollari also serve as executive producers.
The Episode 1 Plot – In the aftermath of her family tragedy, top corporate attorney Sydney Strait (McGee) decides to put aside years of personal conflict with her father Elijah (Smits) to rejoin his legendary Civil Rights firm and take on a chemical company whose product may cause cancer. No sooner is Sydney back, when she stumbles on a secret Elijah has been keeping from her that may change everything.

In the wake of her loss, hoping to reconnect with the daughter he loves, Elijah asks Sydney to rejoin his firm.
