CBS’s CIA returns for its second season on October 5, 2026, welcoming back FBI‘s John Boyd as a guest star. New season two episodes will air Mondays at 9pm PT/ET, following FBI season nine.
Tom Ellis stars as CIA Agent Colin Glass, Nick Gehlfuss plays Special Agent Bill Goodman, Necar Zadegan is Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard, and Natalee Linez plays CIA Analyst Gina Gosian. The season two premiere was written by Mike Weiss and directed by Ken Girotti.
Season 2, Episode 1 “The Deep” Plot: When a known cartel fixer arrives in N.Y.C., the team tracks him down and discovers the body of a DEA agent. After it becomes clear the case is not what it seems, the team must work quickly to prevent additional murders. Meanwhile, Bill makes a shocking discovery when he returns to work after the death of his father and the team enlists the help of FBI Special Agent Stuart Scola (Boyd).

From Wolf Entertainment and Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf, CIA focuses on a clandestine CIA/FBI task force where secretive and roguish CIA Agent Colin Glass finds himself teamed up with by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman. The duo work together on covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells and geopolitical secrets. Also on the team is Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard and CIA Analyst Gina Gosian.
On CIA, Bill continues to learn the rules of this murky world on the fly as Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear – their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.
