When we last saw Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) in the finale of season three of Grimm, she was winging her way to Viktor to get her baby back. But during our interview at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, Coffee confirmed that won’t go exactly as she has planned.
“As we last see her, she’s on the plane to Vienna having removed Nick’s powers from him by sexual relations,” explained Coffee. “She arrives in Vienna to Viktor saying, ‘Okay, I did it. Where’s my baby?’ And of course she’s not there. Things are going to get very dark, very bleak.”
However, Coffee’s perfectly fine with letting Adalind’s vengeful, angry side show in this upcoming season. Asked if she enjoys playing that darker side, Coffee replied, “Yes, I do but it’s also so exhausting to sit in that persona. But, it’s good. There are great rewards.”
