The ratings weren’t great for the Saturday Night Live episode hosted by Dwayne Johnson, however the March 28th episode did feature a couple of stand-out skits that deserved some attention. Among the better bits with Johnson was a trailer for a Disney film hitting theaters in 2016 and featuring Bambi and his forest pals as live-action characters bent on revenge.
Johnson played a cigar-chomping, shotgun-carrying Bambi, Taran Killam played Vin Diesel playing Thumper, Jay Pharoah did his best Tyrese Gibson impression as Flower, and Cecily Strong channeled Michelle Rodriguez as Faline (the female Bambi).
