Eastbound and Down is returning to HBO on February 19, 2012 with an eight-episode third season. Danny McBride will be back as Kenny Powers, the former star baseball pitcher who was kicked out of baseball for his bad behavior.

And following the third season premiere of Eastbound and Down, HBO will be debuting a new series: Life’s Too Short. The half-hour comedy’s first season will run for seven episodes.

Per HBO: Life’s Too Short is a faux documentary starring actor Warwick Davis (the Harry Potter and Star Wars films) as a fictionalized version of himself: a down-and-out little person desperately trying to hustle and connive his way back into the spotlight. Written, directed and executive produced by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the show features cameos by top stars, including Johnny Depp, Sting and Steve Carell, along with Gervais and Merchant playing themselves in minor roles.
