‘EVIL’ Series Preview: First Teaser Trailer, Photos, and Plot Details

CBS has just debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series, EVIL. The network also released two photos featuring the series’ stars along with a brief plot description and cast list.

EVIL is one of the few (if not the only, once the dust settles and the lineups are confirmed) horror series to get a primetime slot during the 2019-2020 season from one of the four major networks. The series was created by Michelle King and Robert King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight, and BrainDead) and the Kings, along with Liz Glotzer, executive produce. Robert King directed the pilot.

EVIL season one stars Katja Herbers (Westworld, The Leftovers) as Kristen Bouchard, Mike Colter (Luke Cage, The Good Wife) as David Acosta, Aasif Mandvi (Blue Bloods, A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Ben Shroff, Michael Emerson (Person of Interest, Lost) as Leland Townsend, Brooklyn Shuck (Rise, I Shudder) as Lynn Bouchard, Skylar Gray (Me, Myself and I) as Lila Bouchard, Maddy Crocco as Lexis Bouchard, and Dalya Knapp as Laura Bouchard.

The Plot:

EVIL is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter as they investigate the Church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.
