‘Expedition Unknown’ Season 12 Trailer and Premiere Date

Josh Gates returns to explore historic sites and delve into new mysteries on season 12 of Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown. Season 12 kicks off on November 15, 2023 with a two-part premiere, with new episodes airing on Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT.

The new season begins with Gates assisting Project Recover in their quest to discover the locations of 40 downed planes and 200 American heroes who were lost during Operation Hailstone. Gates travels to Micronesia where he joins Project Recover on their mission and, with the assistance of cutting-edge technology, makes a “stunning and historic discovery.”
