‘Five Days at Memorial’ Trailer: The Horrors of Hurricane Katrina

Apple TV+’s official trailer for the limited series Five Days at Memorial is incredibly intense and deeply disturbing, made even more so by the fact the series is based on true events. The limited series chronicles events that took place in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, focusing on the action of staff at Memorial Medical Center.

Five Days at Memorial reunites Bates Motel star Vera Farmiga with the show’s executive producer, co-creator, and writer Carlton Cuse. Cuse and Oscar winner John Ridley created the series, based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink, and serve as writers, directors, and executive producers. Wendey Stanzler (For All Mankind) also directs.

In addition to Farmiga, the series stars Robert Pine (CHiPs), Cherry Jones (Succession), Julie Ann Emery (Better Call Saul), Cornelius Smith Jr. (Scandal), Adepero Oduye (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Molly Hager (It’s Kind of a Funny Story), Michael Gaston (The Leftovers), and W. Earl Brown (Preacher).

Five Days at Memorial premieres on Friday, August 12, 2022 with the release of the first three episodes. New episodes arrive on subsequent Fridays leading up to the September 16th finale.
