HBO’s offering a behind the scenes look at the visual effects in season six of the award-winning dramatic, Game of Thrones, with a special five minute video. The network’s also unveiled a three minute video titled ‘Journey to Spain’ featuring interviews with the cast and crew discussing the benefits of actually filming in Spain. The production went to five different locations in Spain rather than shooting on sound stages, with the cast talking about how important it was to shoot in the different climates and how there was never a shortage of extras willing to be a part of the show.
New clips have also arrived from season six which is set to premiere on April 24, 2016. Clip #1 features Lena Headey as Cersei and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jamie discussing dead bodies and the various stages of decomposition as they prepare to bury their daughter. Clip #2 involves Sophie Turner as Sansa and Alfie Allen as Theon racing through the snow to escape from Winterfell.
The cast of season six also includes Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Conleth Hill, Jonathan Pryce and Gwendoline Christie. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss created the series and serve as executive producers.
