71-year-old Indiana bachelor Gerry Turner has the honor of being ABC’s first star of The Bachelor spinoff, The Golden Bachelor. Turner was married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years until her passing in 2017. Now, after six years after Toni’s death, Gerry is ready to try and make a love connection.
The Golden Bachelor will premiere this fall on ABC.

A retired restaurateur and doting father and grandfather, Gerry [GAIR-ee] Turner lives in his dream house on a beautiful lake in Indiana. He’s often busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, four-wheeling, and spending time with friends and family at restaurants and local haunts.
