Harvey Weinstein Takes on MPAA Over Philomena Rating

The Weinstein Company’s Harvey Weinstein is once again battling the MPAA over a film’s rating. Philomena has been tagged with an R rating by the MPAA because it contains two scenes in which the F-word is used and the rules state you can only use one. And while Weinstein seems to relish these public battles with the ratings group, in this case it’s absolutely ridiculous that his film has been given an R rating. This is yet another instance in which the MPAA is completely out of touch with the movie-going public.
