Trailer: ‘Inventions That Changed History’ Shines the Light on Weird Inventions

discovery+’s Inventions That Changed History examines the origins of Twister, the waterbed, Pez, Big Mouth Billy Bass, the Slip ‘N Slide, and even Sea-Monkeys. I mean, who wouldn’t want to know where Mr. Potato Head, Pop Rocks, and corn cob holders came from?

The six-episode season probes weird/quirky inventions with the help of celebrity guests including Harvey Guillen (What We Do in the Shadows), Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Lance Reddick (The Wire), Nicole Sullivan (MADtv), Haskiri Velazquez (Saved By The Bell), and Amanda Seales (Insecure). Flula Borg (Suicide Squad), Yeardley Smith (The Simpsons), comedian Jeff Ross, Erik Griffin, and Rachael Harris (Lucifer) also get hands-on with some truly strange (albeit popular) inventions.

Inventions That Changed History will kick off with the release of the first two episodes on March 31, 2022.
