Oscar winner and seven-time nominee Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart) will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards. Bridges recently starred in FX’s critically acclaimed drama The Old Man, based on Edgar Award-winning author Thomas Perry’s novel, which currently sits at 97% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

The annual Critics Choice Awards recognizes the best in feature films and television. Nominees in the television categories will be announced on December 6, 2022. Film nominees will follow on Friday, December 9th.

Chelsea Handler’s been tapped to host the 2023 Critics Choice Awards airing live from Los Angeles on Sunday, January 15 at 7pm ET/PT (tape-delayed on the West Coast.).

Jeff Bridges earned Best Actor Oscar nominations for his performances in True Grit (the 2011 remake), Crazy Heart (he won), and Starman. Bridges was nominated in the Supporting Actor category for his work in The Last Picture Show, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Contender, and Hell or High Water.
