Jenna Ortega and Travis Kelce to Make Their SNL Hosting Debuts

SNL Jenna Ortega and Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce isn’t going to Disneyland with Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. Instead, the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end will head to New York to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Apparently Kelce, whose Chiefs pulled off a close Super Bowl win against his brother Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles, has wanted to try his hand at hosting SNL. In September 2022 he tweeted, “SNL?!? Would be a dream come true!” in response to cast member Heidi Gardner saying she’d like him or Mahomes to host.

Kelce will make his hosting debut with the March 4, 2023 episode. Kelsea Ballerini’s also making her SNL debut as musical guest. Ballerini just released her “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat” EP and will be heading out on the North American leg of her “Heartfirst” tour on March 6th.

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega is also handling the hosting gig for the first time with the March 11th episode. Wednesday was recently renewed by Netflix for season two, and Ortega’s also got Scream VI opening in theaters on March 10th.

Ortega will be joined by The 1975 as musical guest, marking the band’s second time on the SNL stage. The 1975’s currently touring in support of their album Being Funny in a Foreign Language.

SNL previously announced Woody Harrelson will be hosting the February 25th episode with Jack White as musical guest. It will be Harrelson’s fifth time as host and White’s fourth solo appearance as musical guest.

And for those who missed it or just want to relive one of SNL‘s best skits in recent years, here’s Pedro Pascal struggling to stay in character during the “Lisa from Temecula” bit from the February 4th episode.
