What You Need to Know:

Jersey Shore is back for its 5th season and it’s more popular than ever. The MTV series follows the lives of eight strangers who share a house at the Jersey Shore. It quickly became everyone’s favorite train wreck to watch, what with all the partying, fighting, hookups, and breakups. Two cast members – Ronnie and Sammi – even decided to get into a relationship that shortly turned into the world’s worst and most annoying pair-up. They fight and break up and get back together – and the viewers soon realized that’s all they do.

In Season 2 they took the show on the road and went to Miami, and it was absolutely no surprise the partying and fighting continued. It was the women in the house who did all the fighting, with most of the action going on between Angelina and Snooki (Nicole Polizzi). No one liked Angelina and, eventually, she left. JWoww (Jenni) and Sammi finally came to blows with the fight heard around the world…well, at least the “reality” world.

In Season 3 they went back to Seaside Heights on the Jersey Shore. Snooki brought a friend to come live with them for the summer, and the girls were still on the outs with Sammi. And, of course, soon after arriving at the Shore, Sammi and JWoww got into another physical altercation.

But with all the girl-on-girl action going on, let’s not forget ‘The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) – although I think a lot of people would like to forget about him. All Mike does is cause problems with everyone in the house and start drama.

By the end of season three, the girls have kissed and made up and all is right in the house – with the girls, at least.

Season 4 found the group heading off to Italy. Since most are Italian-Americans, I guess the producers thought this would be a good idea. However, most Italians weren’t happy with the way they were portrayed. The girls all got along fine, but everyone became increasingly tired of Mike’s behavior. Ronnie finally had enough of Mike’s antics and they got into an actual fist fight. But as soon as it began it was over…because Mike managed to knock himself out.

By the end of season 4, the group couldn’t wait to return to the States and everyone wanted Mike to leave.
