Netflix just debuted the official full trailer for season two of the critically acclaimed series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, along with unveiling a brand new season two poster. The much-anticipated second season will arrive on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2018.
Season two of Jessica Jones is led by Krysten Ritter (reprising her lead role) and includes returning cast members Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse). New to the world of Jessica Jones for season two are Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez.
The comic book inspired series is executive produced by Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter), Raelle Tucker (True Blood), Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb. Rosenberg is the season two showrunner.
Netflix has not yet announced when we can expect new seasons of Marvel’s other shows: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil.
The Plot: New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave (David Tennant). Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
